Camille looked in the full length mirror. She was wearing a sleeveless red dress. It fit her tightly and it showed off her every curve. She had made it herself for her graduation ceremony that took place just six months before. The dress reached the floor and it had a slit up the one side that reached her knee. Around her slender neck she wore a beautiful locket made of gold. Adorning her feet were a pair of red high heeled sandals. Her hair was done up in a bun with ringlets that fell softly around her beautiful face.
She wore makeup. She needed it tonight. She had been crying all afternoon over her father leaving so quickly that morning. By now he was probably back in Vancouver and sulking in his living room. At the thought of her father a single tear fell. She took a deep breath and swallowed her tears. AJ was in the living room and if he were to come in he would want to know what happened to make her cry. Camille stop it.. you have to pull yourself together. You are going to go out and have fun tonight! You deserve to be with AJ.. She told herself. She took a shaky breath and walked out of her room. She took careful steps. She didn’t want to make a wrong move tonight.
AJ stood when she entered the living room. His breath was taken away. She looked like an angel. The dress showed him how completely beautiful she was. “You look amazing!” he said.
Camille looked at AJ. He looked great. He had on a Black T-shirt underneath a black dinner jacket with black pants. “You look great too!” she said with a tiny smile. AJ saw her saddened eyes.
“Cami are you alright? You look like you have been crying” He said.
“I am fine. It isn’t anything... Lets go have a good time tonight!” She said avoiding telling him about her father.
“I am so glad your father was able to find something else to do tonight because it is going to be a wonderful evening for us! That I promise you!” He said.
“Yeah...” She replied as she took a step towards the stairs which lead down to the front door.
“Lets go!” AJ said. He knew something was wrong with her but he figured that she would tell him when she felt comfortable talking about whatever it was that was wrong.
They took Camilles car because AJ’s was in the shop. They ate at a local restaurant. Camille loved the food but AJ didn’t look too impressed with it. They left the restaurant 45 minutes later.
When they arrived at the theatre Camille was amazed. It was gorgeous. With its tall mirrors that reflected onto all the people. Everyone looked like they were so magical. All dressed in evening gowns and casual evening wear. Camille thought she was at a ball! She was in heaven.
After the show, Camille and AJ exited the theatre. Camille was babbling on and on about how much she loved to hear the young woman who played the part of Christine Daae. AJ turned and smiled at her. “I prefer to hear you sing!” he said.
“Well.. I will sing for you later k? But anyhow wasn’t it great? I had never seen it before. Thank you so much for taking me to it! I love you so much!” She said with a huge grin on her face.. Wait did I just say what I thought I said? oh god I did.. I love him. I haven’t ever loved a guy before.. Heck I hadn’t even been kissed before he kissed me. Oh this is love.. I feel like I am floating.
“I love you too Camille” He said.
He loves me! He loves me! Camille threw her arms around him. She kissed him on the lips. He returned the kiss. My god I am kissing him. I am kissing the man I love! Camille thought. It was a dream come true for Camille. She loved someone. And he loved her!
