Coffee Bean Cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup almonds, toasted and chopped
3 (2 oz) pkgs chocolate-covered coffee beans
4 (1.4 oz each) English toffee candy bars, chopped

With electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter and shortening until creamy.
Gradually add both sugars and beat well.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Combine flour and the next 3 ingredients and add to butter mixture.
Beat well.
Stir in almonds, coffee beans and candy.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 min or until golden.
Cool on sheets for 1 min then remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Makes 4 Dozen
