Rules Of Conduct

Salams and Greetings

Kindly take note of the following so that a good relations may be maintained at all times regardless of differences of opinion.

  1. None of us can claim to be perfect. One man's meat may be another man's poison. As such, we are bound to differ or disagree. The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. has said to this effect that there are two rewards when agreement is reached and one when disagreement prevails. Every individual has the right to disagree, however, this should be undertaken in the spirit of Islam.

  2. Whenever a person writes something, he assumes others understand what he is speaking about. Sometimes his statements are misunderstood, or they may not be correct, or they may have not been elaborated upon clearly. As such one should not assume this or that, and as a result of it accuse or abuse the writer. Instead, one should seek clarification, or express another point of view, or better still, copy the said paragraph and then add an improved version below for consideration and e-mail it. All this adds up to positive thinking and positive behaviour.

Wassalam
