YOUR ABILITIES OR GOD’S ABILITIES?
Some people believe that
God gives us a limited amount of talent; today I’d like to open our minds to a
new way of thinking.
All of us have certain
qualities that make us different from one another, and some have more natural
abilities than others. There is something more exciting than what God has given
us naturally, it is the abilities we don’t possess naturally that God can use
to produce miracles in our lives.
For instance, most people
have the capability to walk, it comes naturally to them. However, someone who
is paralyzed from then waist down is limited by their circumstances. If they
were to get up and start walking it would be miraculous and they would be so
much more appreciative of something most people take for granted.
That’s the same way it is
for us once we ask God to be strong for us, where our we
are weak.
If we give those
weaknesses over to Him, He will help through His Spirit and we will really
appreciate Him working through our inabilities; the credit will go to God, and
we will have the confidence to allow Him to do this on a regular basis. The
more we allow Him to take over in our weaknesses, the stronger we will become
in our faith and we will know that He is truly in control of all times.
