"The World Mourns With You"

"Our Greatest Glory Consists Not In Ever Falling,
But In Rising Every Time We Fall..."

~International Day Of Mourning~

There Will Come Day

It's not easy
Trying to understand
How the world can be so cold
Stealing the souls of man
Cloudy skies rain down
On all your dreams
You wrestle with the fear and doubt
Sometimes it's hard, but you gotta believe

There's a better place
Where our Father waits
And every tear
He'll wipe away
The darkness will be gone
The weak shall be strong
Hold on to your faith
There will come a day
There will come a day

Wars are raging
Lives are scattered
Innocence is lost
And hopes are shattered
The old are forgotten
The children are forsaken
In this world we're living in
Isn't anything sacred

There's a better place
Where our Father waits
And every tear
He'll wipe away
The darkness will be gone
The weak shall be strong
Hold on to your faith
There will come a day
There will come a day

Song will ring out
Down those golden streets
The voices of earth
The angels will sing
Every knee will bow
Sin will have no trace
In the glory of His amazing grace
Every knee will bow
Sin will have no trace
In the glory of His amazing grace
There will come a day
There will come a day
Oh, there will come a day
There will come a day
I know there's coming a day
Coming a day
~Faith Hill "There Will Come A Day"

~1 True American~

We realized as we wept
They were family we never met
They were our sisters and mothers
Friends, children and brothers
They were taken in a blink of an eye
Without time to say good-bye
Innocent lives shattered forever
Broken lives that can never be put together
We must come together as one
Until the power of love has won
So many will live on in our hearts
These powerful memories will never depart
God will take care of our angels now
As we move on somehow
Each day will grow stronger
Until hate lives no longer

"You May Have Broken Our Hearts,
But You Will Never Break Our Spirits,
We Are One Nation Under God,
We Are America,
We Are Free & Brave & Strong,
We Will Live On.....
With Honor & Justice
Not One Life Will Be Lost In Vain."

My personal letter to the world

Sept 14,2001
To all the people of America!

I really don’t know where to start;
I am just a hardworking American single mother of 3.
I am just a little speck of what makes up
a giant portion of this world.
I feel like there is not much I can do as a single individual to help
all of the people that are in need right now.
I have prayed, I have sent money;
I have donated at the grocery store, gas stations.
I just don’t even think that is enough!
So I thought I would write this to all the people of the world,
to try to fill this empty space of worthlessness that I feel,
with hopes that I have maybe accomplished something worthwhile.
There have been so many poems, emails and
help services set up which I think is great.
I think that it is a wonderful, powerful message that
we as Americans are sending out to other countries.
I wish the world could be like this everyday.
I wish that we could always help those in need,
say prayers for those in need or who have suffered loss,
but instead we are a world who concentrates on emails,
who can make the most money or
who has the most material items.
I am not innocent of this kind of behavior
and I do not sit in judgment of anyone,
but I do try everyday to tell the people I care about I love them,
I try to always give when I can and support when I can.
I try to teach my kid that making a gift is far more special than
buying some fancy high priced gift.
A gift from the heart is beautiful.
I try to teach them to respect every living creature
and respect life as they have it,
because it can be taken away at any time as quick as a second!
I try to keep and open mind and an open heart
to all opportunities and challenges.
I guess the point I am trying to make here is this:
Let us all value what we are already blessed with,
not what we should have or could have.
Not one of us is better than another,
we are all striving to survive in this world,
and we are all equals.
So take the time ALWAYS for another person,
give your heart or money if you can.
Let us think of others first before we think of ourselves.
I think this could be a better world if
each of us did 1 nice thing a day for someone.
No matter our color, background or beliefs
we can make this a better place,
and we are showing the potential we have as a nation right now,
I can only hope that we continue,
and that maybe I can make a difference with this letter.
My thoughts and prayers are will the entire nation.
We will survive from this and justice will be served
which will make us a better nation!
