Out on the balcony and looking to the left (south) you can see the Strip... A nice touch although again I don't really spend much time at all in the room; only about 5 hours a day for a minimum of sleep!

Took this picture recently from the balcony of room 2428... At extreme left see the MGM Grand (green); roughly across the street you can faintly see the Luxor's laser beam (shines straight up). Just to the immediate left of the large dark unfinished building [with cranes on it] you can see the tip of the Eiffel Tower. And the extreme right of the picture is the hotel tower of Circus Circus.

(The large, dark unfinished building [with cranes on it] is Steve Wynn's new project, being constructed on the site of the old Desert Inn.)

Here is the same basic view at midday (although
the Circus Circus tower is cut out of this shot).

That's a water park in the immediate foreground. Those familiar with the Strip should be able to pick out Riviera, Stardust, Palms, Rio, New Frontier, Treasure Island, Caesars Palace (new tower), Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and a few others. And as mentioned in the picture above, you can just make out the tips of both the Luxor and the Eiffel Tower.

Another balcony shot, looking straight out towards the west at the sunset behind the mountains... (The building towards the left edge of this picture is Palace Station, just across I-15 from Sahara.)

Looking down at the pool from 24th floor balcony...
