What's the most addictive, obsessive, compulsive behavior seen in bars? Drinking? Smoking? Shameless flirting?

Nope.


It's playing "trivia," specifically NTN trivia, the networked, satellite-based game in which you compete not only with others in your own location, but with locations all across the country, including Canada.
   

To play, you use this handy portable wireless box (seen at right ) which works anywhere in the bar—your favorite barstool, table, wherever—as long as you can see a TV screen tuned to the game. Typically sports bars have this; sports bars always have plenty of conveniently-located TVs, anyway...

      
 



It's fun although it is rather addictive! Mainly
I like Countdown and Wipeout (the late-night
games), preferring Countdown.
 
   


Joined Players Plus about a two years ago and have accumulated about 800,000 points so far.

I play as P L; see me up on the list (if still there).

In Columbia I play at Icy's and in San Diego I play at T.G.I.Fridays.


 My sister Cheryl (below) plays at T.J. Mulligans in Memphis. (Cheryl is way ahead of me in Players Plus points.) Also, Cheryl recently placed first in the nation, a feat I've certainly never achieved.
