Paul Fidler Awards

The Paul P. Fidler Fellowship Award		"In recognition Dr. Paul P. Fidler's 30 years of service to the University of South Carolina and his outstanding contributions to the Student Personnel Services and Higher Education Administration programs, the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for the Division of Student Affairs has been rededicated as the *Paul P. Fidler Fellowship*. The fellowship will be given to recognize a student who consistently goes beyond the call of duty and demonstrates a sincere commitment to bettering higher education and the University of South Carolina. This award will be given to a second-year graduate student."

Paul Fidler Volunteer Service Award		"The Carolina Chaplain's Association has presented its *Paul Fidler Volunteer Service Award* since 1976. Named in honor of Dr. Paul Fidler, long-time USC faculty and staff member, this award is presented to the student who best exemplifies the call to volunteer service not only on this campus, but also in the greater Columbia community. In addition to the Award Certificate, a donation to the recipient's favorite charity is forwarded by the Chaplain's Association." Read more...

The Paul P. Fidler Bridge- Builder Award		"It is appropriate that the Bridge-Builder Award be named for Dr. Paul P. Fidler as he spends a majority of his time as liaison between the USC division of Student Affairs and the Department of Educational Leadership and Policies. In addition, Paul developed the Chaplain's Association at USC and serves as the conduit between this association and the university. Paul co-chairs USC's Honors and Awards Day with two faculty members; this celebration at USC highlights the best and brightest students in academics and activities. Finally, Paul is an expert on University 101."

			Awards Dad received many awards, honors, and accolades over his long career at USC—too many to count. But what I think is even more impressive is having awards *named* after him.... ....and he's got three of 'em!
