Bayshore is a family friendly place to relax and unwind and refresh yourself. For about the price of two hotel rooms, you'll get a lot more room and privacy and the ability to cook your own meals. Kids love having lots of outdoor space and you'll have a full kitchen - plus there are no stairs, no elevators and no parking lots.
The fully furnished 1100 square foot space sleeps 6-8 and includes satellite TV, wireless internet access (WiFi), DVD player, complete kitchen facilities, a charcoal BBQ, microwave, toaster, stick blender, crock pot, coffee grinder, salad spinner, kitchen utensils, bath towels, kitchen and bed linens, one roll of paper towels, Keurig coffeemaker with refillable pods to use normal ground coffee, toilet paper and small amounts of basic kitchen items (coffee, tea, sugar, vegetable oil, flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt, dish soap). There is a hair dryer in the bathroom and cotton robes available so you can have more room in your suitcases. Nightlights are in every room because I know when I travel, I always take one with me. Because it is built into the hillside, it stays naturally cool in summer.
The view from every room looks out over a field onto a quiet bay, not a busy street. In fact, Bayshore is one of the few places that is not on or very close to a main thoroughfare and is one of the most unique properties in the Copper Country. It's so peaceful, that staying here feels like luxury camping or being in a small resort. Imagine being able to sit outside at the patio table in your pajamas sipping your morning coffee and watching the birds. ;-)
All ages are accommodated: There is a high chair, pack-n-play, toddler swing, sippy cups, coloring books and a few toys available for small children. For older children to adults there are lots of books, family board games, cards, poker chips and a cribbage board, a soccer ball, a croquet set, two kites and the boats. There is an adjustable height shower chair for anyone needing added safety and security while bathing. You can drive up close to the door and there are no stairs for anyone with limited mobility.
Summer guests have use of a 12 foot aluminum rowboat, a pedal boat that will seat four (see pic below), and a two person sit-on-top kayak with several adult sized and 2 small child sized life jackets. You can fish for Perch, Bass, Pike and Walleye on the lake. A fish cleaning station is set up in the yard for your use. The lake breezes keep the temperatures cooler and keep the bugs away so you can really enjoy being outdoors. There is a large rock rimmed fire pit just out front for campfires if conditions permit, and the country setting makes for wonderful stargazing at night.
In the winter, there is plenty of parking space for snowmobilers that is very safe and secure. You can park your sled right outside the door and the in-floor heat feels great after a chilly ride.
To clear up any confusion: The Guest Suite is in the lower level and I occupy the upper level... there are NO shared spaces. There is even a separate driveway. Most other vacation rentals have neighbors in pretty close proximity and/or are on a busy road. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you can't do much better, and the beauty and serenity of the property is second to none. This is truly a home way from home.
