Comic Addictions

Okay, so I realize that comic strips aren't exactly "reality", but the "real" part is that I read these comics every day, they're hilarious, and I'd like to share the experience with you. For the most part, I highly recommend that you go and read all the archives of these comics, as they are all hilarious and well done (I wouldn't recommend them if they weren't). They're listed in no particular order. Enjoy!

User Friendly is a techie cartoon about an ISP tech support office. Sometimes it's funny, other times it's just too true... but still funny! The comic archives are available on-line, but the author has published them in book format as well (it's just that popular).

RPG World is a Final Fantasy 7 parody (with other RPG video games thrown in). This is my favorite of the Final Fantasy / RPG video game parody comics, due to superior art, excellent (and progressing) storyline, awesome characters, and an even more awesome author/artist.

Bob & George was intended to be a comic about Bob and George. However, the author had some difficulties way at the beginning and put a bunch of Megaman comics together as filler. When he tried to go back to the originally intended comic, the fans revolted, and it's been a Megaman parody ever since. I have never actually played the Megaman games, but the author puts enough information in that I can usually get the joke.

MegaTokyo is an anime-manga-style comic telling the story of two fanboys that got stuck in Japan. These fanboys are archtypical fanboys: anime-lovers, video game freaks, and completely out of touch with reality. The comic is hilarious, as well as being very well drawn.

Dork Tower is the ultimate gamers comic. It covers Gen-Con, D&D, Warmaster and Magic: The Gathering, as well as the rest of the geek life: sci-fi and computer games!

Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire is a half-serious, half-series-of-ridiculus-puns comic drawn anime-style, about a Seer who reminds me of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently. Dominic shares the hardships of being an Oracle (people ask you the dumbest questions!) while fighting off evil magicians and showing his "lovely" assistant that there's more to life than looks.
