All about my experience with the T-MAXX.
Well, its 4/17/00 right now, and so far the T-MAXX is awesome. I was recently having problems getting it to shift into reverse, but i took apart the tranny and I think that it is fixed now. Maybe I'll test it a little later. Anyways, if you have any questions about the T-MAXX, just e-mail me.

First day - I broke in the engine, got thru four and a half tanks before my spur gear got flattened. Had to order a new one from Traxxas. They gave me two for free because they had set the gear mesh incorrectly. Traxxas has the best customer service in the hobby, except they messed up my order, and put it on standard ground, instead of 2nd day air as i had requested. Oh well, i got my money back anyways.
Second day = I can't start my engine!! Nooo!!! It floods way too easily when using the EZ Start. Every tiime i pressed it, the engine would suck so much fuel into it that it would go into hydro lock. (No the air filter wasn't too restrictive) I haven't had this problem on my nitro 4-tec, whats up?? Oh well, so i packed up for another day.
Third day - I get it started!! I had the disconnect the fuel line after i had pumped a small amount of fuel into the engine. I ran the EZ-start, and as the engine ran out of fuel, it finally started, then i had to put the fuel line back on in a hurry before the engine went crazy because it was too lean. Not the easiest way to get an engine started, but it worked.
Fourth day - I went to my friends house, he has a Kyosho dodge ram (with the QRC). It was the first time i had seen the truck since buying the t-maxx, and i couldn't belive how puny it looked now!! Oh well, anyways, it ran great, i had the do the fuel line thing to get it started the first time, but after that it was cool. I needed to lower the shift point on the tranny, because it was preset way to high to actually be effective. It was awesome after that, and I did tons of tricks with it on the street. It was fun to drive around in circles on two wheels, thats what i acutally did most of the time. And hey i acutally was able to do a wheelie using the reverse! (notice is said "a" wheelie, i was only able to pull of one the whole day. It is harder than i thought to time it right, and get the tranny to engage that fast. I also went for some speed runs, and that thing is fast!! And the brakes are so good that I actually almost did a flip when i put full brakes after a fast run. This truck is pretty cool.
6/11/00- This is the first time I have ran the t-maxx in a while. I'm finally out of school, so there's a ton more time to do stuff. Anyways, me and some friends went down to the local school and drove around for a while. I had cut the fuel tubing that acts as a cushion for the brake linkage so it was only about 2mm long, so i could improve braking performance. (Don't do this...) Well, i would come down the parking lot near 30 mph, and slam on the brakes. The wheels would lock up immediately and my truck would do a front flip and roll end over end for 15 feet. That wasn't good. So, i figured out that it isn't good to cut the little tubing to get better braking. It keeps the brakes from being too powerful and locking the wheels, which was what mine did. Oh yeah, now my heat sink is scratched up, my primer pump is bent, and both pairs of body posts are bent and about to break. if you have a t-maxx, be careful not to flip it over too much or it will get messed up like mine.
Later, I took the truck over to a little uneven dirt pile so try some jumps with it. The truck would catch air pretty easily, but it would get tripped up over the bumps on the landing and it would flip over. Well, i still have some work to do on my landings.
