Sunrise Mist At Sugarloaf Lake

It was a cold morning and a nice mist was rising off of the warmer water of Sugarloaf Lake, just south of Portage, Michigan. I could see swans at the distant shoreline. I set my camera on a tripod and tried to work the controls with my increasingly numb fingers. It was great to look at, but how would it look on film? Even though it was a chilly morning in Michigan, it looks like a warm day in Georgia.

Moon Over the Mackinac Bridge

It was a pleasant summer evening and I wanted to get the moon above the bridge. The moon was actually higher in the sky than pictured here. I did a double exposure, a longer one for the bridge and a shorter one for the moon, putting it just above the bridge.
