( Am. Can. Ch. Barwoods Brushfire x Ch. Cataway's Dominique)
I am so pleased to have acquired this sweet and gentle girl from her breeders, Jeannie and Jennifer Selby, Twin Cedars. I singled her out for possessing a better than average front assembly when I first saw this litter as youngsters. She was not as impressive as her littermates, lacking somewhat in coat and head detail, but she has since matured into a lovely, feminine bitch.
Leah was bred to Romyldale the Highlander and a litter of eight arrived September 10, 2004. Two of the eight are currently being grown out as show prospects, time will tell if they hold their early promise. Puppies can be seen here. I could not have asked for a better match for Conner. She compliments him in every detail and their pedigrees mesh beautifully.
Leah was then bred to Oliver, Ch. Ilemist As You Like It, in 2005 to produce a lovely litter of three little ladies. Click here to see this litter.
Leah is OFA Good and thyroid normal.
Jeannie has a beautiful webpage for Leah on her website also.
She was introduced to sheep and showed a great deal of natural ability. She found the balance point immediately and changed directions easily. Her style is quiet and businesslike. There was quite a difference in how the sheep responded to her as compared to a younger less confident dog I was also working that day.
Leah is now Grand Champion Leah, she finished her UKC title this summer with a nice Group 2 win.
