FFVII Walkthrough: Part 2

"What I have shown you is reality.
What you remember, that is an illusion.

"Five years ago, you were constructed by Hojo, piece by piece, right after Nibelheim was burnt.

"A puppet made up of vibrant Jenova cells, her knowledge, and the power of the Mako.

"An incomplete Sephiroth clone, not even given a number.

"…That is your reality.

"Inside of you, Jenova has merged with Tifa's memories, creating you."

Sephiroth will then show you the picture. In it is Sephiroth, Tifa, and another man, not Cloud. Mass confusion enters all their minds.

Cloud becomes manipulated mentally by Sephiroth's power. Hojo is ecstatic, for he thought of you as a failed experiment and did not even assign you a number. Hojo also explains what the Reunion is: the reuniting of the dismembered Jenova parts.

Sephiroth's body drops from the ceiling and you re-give him the Black Materia. The rest of your party escapes on the airship. You will then see an awesome video clip.

There is then a short flashback of the train station. Tifa becomes utterly confused…
"All the things you didn't know that you should, and other things you shouldn't know that you did"

Then, Tifa and Barret are informed that they will be publicly executed on national television for casing the entire situation. Rufus explains…
"People are ignorant. They'll feel better as long as someone is punished."

Besides, they need to rally up public support.

Tifa and Barret's arms are tied. Scarlet puts Tifa in the gas chamber and slaps her around. All of the sudden, there is an emergency: Weapon is approaching. Cait Sith saves you by administering sleeping gas to Scarlet.

Cait Sith takes Barret around, for they can do nothing more to save Tifa. You will observe Yuffie posing as a reporter. Then, you will have control over Tifa. Get her out of there and run. When you come to the end of the cannon, Tifa and Scarlet have a slapping match. When you think that you are going to be slaughtered or captured by Shinra, the airship pulls up and rescues you.

You are now on the Highwind, unfortunately, without Cloud. Yuffie becomes seasick and your next mission is at Mideel, the Hot Springs Town.

Tifa parts with your party, "I don't care about anything else, but Cloud. I…want to be by his side…" Cid becomes the new leader and you head back to the Highwind.

Now, head to North Corel. You will to do a train sequence to obtain the Huge Materia. Then, do the other sequence at Fort Condor. After you have done this, visit Tifa at Mideel. Weapon attacks and you feel tremors from the Life Stream. Tifa and Could go to the Life Stream…

The next path you will take is the promise at the well. The question of why Cloud joined soldier in the first place is asked: he wanted Tifa to notice him.

Five years ago at the Mako Reactor when Tifa was cut, Cloud was not there, Zack was. Zack tries to save Tifa, but is unsuccessful. Cloud then runs, grabs Zack's sword, and goes after Sephiroth. You are the one who launches Sephiroth off the bridge.

Your next mission is at Rocket Town. You will fight a few Soldiers and then Rude. Cid explains the power of science, and fat Palmer launches you into space. You need to release the Huge Materia. To do this, you need to hit circle, square, X, X. You and your party run down to the escape pod, but there is an explosion and Cid becomes stuck. It turned out that Shera was correct all along, Tank Number 8 was defective. Shera ends up being there all along and helps free Cid from the rubble. You escape safely from there.

Bugenhagen then notices something written in chalk: "(even sunlight can't reach)…(key)". You need to find that key. If you still do not get it CLICK HERE.

Once you deliver the Key to the Ancients to Bugenhagen, the thing opens, and it ends up being a screen to project an image off the water…

You see Aeris, her death, and the White Materia falling. The White Materia then becomes a pale green. She had already prayed for Holy.

Cait Sith gives you some more information: Rufus has moved the Junon Cannon to destroy Sephiroth. The cannon runs on Huge Materia. A little later, you will find out that the Junon Cannon was named the Sister Ray by Scarlet.

Scarlet, Heideggar, and Reeve are in somewhat of a jam, for Hojo has taken control of the Sister Ray. Go to Midgar (remember to include Barret in your party). You will parachute in (a cool video if I may add) and then go underground (where you can obtain W-Item Materia). You will fight Elena, Rude, and Reno. Travel a bit more and you will have to fight this robot thing (called the Proud Clod). After that, head to the top and defeat Hojo. Another plot twist will take place: Hojo is Sephiroth's dad and has stabbed Shinra in the back to give aid to his wicked son. He donated the woman carrying his child to Professor Gast's Jenova Project. Therefore, this must mean that Hojo combined his genes with Jenova's and then injected them into Lucrecia so that she could carry.

Anyway, during the battle, Hojo will transform twice. The battle with Hojo is reminiscent to the battle with Lugae in FFII.

However, Tifa stays with you, for she has no family, no hometown, or no where to go. This is a very sentimental moment between Tifa and Cloud. They talk and spend the night together. In the morning, Tifa says, "This day will never come again…So let me have this moment…"
