The Rock of Ages
At this stone, this cornerstone of Prince Hall Masonry, many craftsmen and their related associates, will, as they have done in the years past, pay homage to the founding fathers of their origin and exalt with praise, those leaders and brethren who have kept the torch burning ever so brightly in the intervening one hundred and fourteen years.
At this rock, a renewal, a reaffirmation of Masonic obligation and commitment will be made, by an anticipated 6,000 members, including the Sisters of the Order of the Eastern Star. At this rock, Grand Masters or representatives of the two Jurisdictions, Indiana and Ohio, responsible for Michigan's being, will symbolically renew permission for the continued practice of the ancient art, by "water wonderland" builders.
In the hall adjacent to the rock, is the home of the John W. Moore Lodge No. 42. Its Worshipful Master, Brother Robert Singer, the Host, will as they always do, afford the guest to their domain, a most enjoyable time.
The Lodge Hall will be converted into a Prince Hall Masonic Museum for the day. This will be accomplished by the Committee for Arrangements.
