Tulsi Devi
The birthplace of Lord Caitanya
Sri Sri Madangopal, Belpukur.
Upon reaching the parikrama campsite at Belpukur, devotees were already seated in rows for their lunch. Guru Maharaja spoke for 10 minutes about Sri Madan Gopal Ji, the presiding deity of Belpukur and the significance of Belpukur. Madan Gopal was worshipped by the forefathers of Sacimata and Nilambara Chakravatry. He is being worshipped by the descendants of Nilambara Chakravarty since the last 1500 years. Actually this temple was taken over by Bhaktivedanta Swami Charity Trust and completed the restoration in the year of 1999.
Half Visnu Half Shiva Deity
Description: Shiva is almost Visnu tatva he is Shiva tatva above jiva tatva the living entites, Visnu being the source as well as the maintainer. Many locations had deitys of Lord Shiva here because his lila was there and that Lord Shiva is also the protector of the Holy Dhama as his service to the Surpreme. Lord Shiva is described as milk comes in contact with the interaction of certain acids it becomes yogurt, not exactly milk anymore. Harihara is the name of a combined deity form of both Vishnu (Hari) and Shiva (Hara) from the Hindu tradition. Also known as Shankaranarayana ("Shankara" is Shiva, and "Narayana" is Vishnu), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harihara
Lord Caitanya Entered into the body of one of his associates, who became just like the Lord in color and knowledge. People flock here to see the lord who was in the body of this associate of the Lord. Another associated hid in the yard and had a question for Mahaprabhu regarding his syllable gayatri mantra, which the Lord told the visitors to find him he is hiding in the yard it was by a tree and he reveled how many syllables are present in his mantra.
