Disaster Movie
The demented minds behind "Date Movie" and "Meet the Spartans" devise this 2008 spoof of end-of-the-world epics, where plucky survivors attempt to save the planet from meteors - and rabid squirrels. Matt Lanter, Vanessa Minnillo, G-Thang and Kim Kardashian star in this cheeky satire. Rated PG13 for Brief Nudity, Violence, Adult Language & Content.
Rat Race (2001)
An eccentric casino owner (John Cleese) pits six teams against each other in a dash across the desert to a locker stuffed with $2 million in this madcap comedy. Among the racers: a narcoleptic Italian (Rowan Atkinson), an uptight politician (Breckin Meyer), a daredevil pilot (Amy Smart), a just-reunited mother and daughter (Whoopi Goldberg and Lanei Chapman), a greedy family man (Jon Lovitz), dimwitted brothers (Seth Green and Vince Vieluf), and a disgraced NFL ref (Cuba Gooding Jr.) with Dean Cain, rated PG13
Stardust (2007)
This tongue-in-cheek fantasy stars Charlie Cox as a love-struck youth from a cozy hamlet who ventures into the mythical land of Stormhold to retrieve a fallen star for his paramour, only to encounter a series of eccentric fantasy characters ranging from an age-defying witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) to a secretly gay pirate (Robert De Niro). Then there's the star, which is really a beautiful young woman (Claire Danes) sought after by a trio of greedy princes. Peter O'Toole costars in this charming film based on the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, rating PG13

"Beware faux miracle workers, yogis, dervishes, televangelists, zealots and cult leaders. Penn & Teller have you in their cross-hairs with a new series that strives to spark controversy, headlines and water cooler fisticuffs!" Why is the series title called "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!" you ask? Penn says the Showtime lawyers told them that if they called a UFO Alien Abduction Therapist a fake or fraud, they could get sued, but if they just called it "Bullshit!" they couldn't sue because that's a personal opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion in a free country. That's why. Unless you think that explanation by Penn is just BS. Who knew he could dance?
