7-8pm -- UFO Hunters - UFO Storm
In May of 2008, the UK's Ministry of Defense made decades' worth of
classified files on UFOs freely available to the public. One month
later, UFO hysteria ripped through the country. In June, a police
helicopter crew spotted unusual aircraft in Wales. South Wales Police
confirmed the sighting and reported it to the Ministry of Defense.
Numerous witnesses and videos poured into Britain's top newspapers of
more sightings--UFO madness had come to the UK. Former MOD
investigator Nick Pope joins the team in solving the most exciting and
recent UFO sightings in the world.
8-10pm -- God vs. Satan -
What will the battle of Armageddon look like? Will it take place at a
battlefield in Meggido, Israel, as stated in the Bible? Take a tour of
the final days on earth as envisioned by believers of the three
Abrahamic religions; Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Examine the
final chapter of the ultimate battle between good and evil from
accounts in the Talmud, the book of Revelation and the Koran. Discover
how these religions differ, where they agree and what might occur
during this epic war.
10-11:30pm -- Sex in the Bible -
From erotic poetry to sinful sex, we'll explore the uncensored Bible.
Discover scriptures brimming with lustful tales like King Solomon's
700 concubines, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Jesus and the adulteress. Dr.
Ruth Westheimer and other experts discuss a Bible where passion and
sexual deviancy live alongside the quest for the Holy.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Superhighways
Millions of drivers travel the world's superhighways each year. See a
multi-billion dollar expansion project in Houston, Texas where a
stretch of superhighway is being widened to 20 lanes. Take a ride atop
the High-Five, a 12-story, five-level interchange that's become the
latest Dallas tourist attraction. Then it's off to China's 28,000-mile
National Trunk Highway System. Discover how a single distracted driver
can cause a major traffic jam. Finally, play a cutting-edge video game
that's training emergency personnel how to unclog a clogged
superhighway.
8-9pm -- Modern Marvels - Bulls-Eye
From LAPD's sharp shooters to Army snipers, discover what it means to
be armed and accurate. Learn how ancient ballista and trebuchet could
repeatedly strike their targets. Find out how the Phoenix Lander will
navigate to its target some 422 million miles away. See a nine ball
expert hit several bulls-eyes, sometimes with the same shot to run the
table. Finally, watch as Cirque de Soleil's daring artists are both
projectile and target as they perform their breathtaking feats.
9-10pm -- Cities of the Underworld - Gods of War
Lying at the crossroads of the East and West, Turkey has a history
marked by conquest and conflict. Empires clashed over this land and
its trade routes, leaving behind a rich mythology of gods and men, and
tales of epic battles that soaked Turkey's soil in blood. Host Don
Wildman uncovers the truth behind the mysterious legends of the Trojan
War, and reveals how a maniacal king plotted to overturn consecrated
ground in order to build one of the Ancient World's Seven Wonders.
It's the vengeance of the gods versus the might of mortal armies--and
the remains are buried underground.
10-11pm -- Ancient Discoveries - Ships.
Lurking beneath Lake Nemi's blue waters lay the titans of Roman naval
engineering--the Nemi Ships. Titanic luxury liners of the ancient
world, they held inventions lost for thousands of years. But why were
they built? Were they Caligula's notorious floating pleasure
palaces--rife with excess and debauchery? Flagships of a giant sea
force? It took Mussolini's obsession with all things Roman to finally
prise the two wrecks from the depths of Lake Nemi near Rome. Using an
ancient Roman waterway, he drained the lake and rescued the ships, an
accomplishment captured on film that we access to illustrate this
astounding story. Sophisticated ancient technology discovered in the
boats transformed the understanding of Roman engineering overnight.
Yet by 1944, the adventure had turned sour and the retreating German
army torched the boats. We reveal the mysteries of the Nemi Ships and
the ancient technology that made them possible.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.
In the land of Mardi Gras, jambalaya, and zydeco, exists an
engineering marvel called the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway that seems
to go on forever. Two ribbons of concrete span the largest inland body
of water in Louisiana, and at nearly 23.87 and 23.88 miles long, these
two spans form the world's longest automobile bridge. At midpoint--12
miles out--water surrounds travelers who are unable to see either
shoreline. The bridge is so long, it actually transverses 1/1000th of
the earth's circumference according to Ripley's Believe It Or Not!
8-9pm -- The Universe - Edge of Space
Low Earth Orbit, 120 miles above sea level, is where the majority of
space exploration has occurred. This 1,100 mile band around Earth is
where--for a cool $20 million--any private citizen can take the
vacation of his or her life on the International Space Station.
Commercial prospects for LEO are huge; but dangers lurk for any
individual willing to travel here--radiation, cosmic rays, and space
debris numbering in the thousands threaten any spacecraft traveling in
orbit. It's the new frontier, or the final frontier...and the
possibilities are endless if you are willing to travel to the edge of
space exploration.
9-10pm -- The Universe - Cosmic Phenomena
A variety of cosmic events have both helpful and harmful effects on
life on Earth. From the beauty of the Aurora Borealis and rainbows to
the dangers of UV radiation and cosmic rays, from the miracle of
photosynthesis to the thrill of a meteor shower, this episode explores
how the effects generated by the sun and other extra-solar sources can
literally get under our skin, scramble our technology, make life
possible and threaten our existence all at the same time.
10-11pm -- Extreme Trains - High Speed Train
Running from Washington, DC to Boston, the Acela is a high-tech wonder
that runs on lines dating to the Great Depression. It is the fastest
train in the country and is powered by high-voltage overhead
electrical wires. Join hosts Matt Bown as he meets the workers who are
just inches from possible electrocution on a daily basis. Filming here
was so dangerous that the production crew had to take and pass a
special course before they were allowed to begin. Also, take a look at
historic Penn Station and discover why it had to be demolished.
Past episodes were called Trains Unlimited.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Rats
Feared by millions worldwide, rats are some of the most dangerous,
destructive and useful animals on Earth. Ride along with a Terminix
exterminator to get face to face with the creepy creature in a near
rat infestation and see the great lengths we take to get rid of the
pesky pest. Tour the Hacco Inc. rodenticide plant to see how tasty
poisons are concocted. At the Taconic rat breeding facility, we'll see
how hundreds of thousands of rats are bred and raised in high-tech and
controlled environments. Watch rodents compete in the Xtreme Rat
Challenge at the annual American Fancy Rat show. We'll trace their
history and role as a vector of deadly diseases, but also explore how
they have saved countless lives as lab rats. Scientists will show us
how a remote controlled rat could be your savior in the near future.
8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Giant Killer Snakes
Head deep into the Venezuela wilderness where there have been
sightings of huge man-eating snakes--anaconda. For the first time ever
an industrial acoustic sonar camera will be used to search for these
monsters. The investigation will also search the Everglades of Florida
where pet pythons have escaped and are multiplying and growing to huge
sizes, preying on all kinds of animals, even swallowing a full grown
alligator in one case. Could a human become their next victim?
9-10pm -- MonsterQuest - Death of Loch Ness
The search for the Loch Ness Monster has captivated the world for
decades, but now a startling realization about "Nessie" might shatter
this age-old myth. Could the Loch Ness Monster be dead, and do its
remains lie hidden at the bottom of the lake? Robert Rines, a world
renowned inventor, believes he may have seen the remains of this
mythical beast and is on a mission to find evidence to prove it.
Rines, who believes he saw the creature surface in the lake in 1972,
caught sonar images of the monster's remains. He believes Nessie's
death may explain the decrease of sightings in recent years. Our
search team looks for evidence and deploys the latest technology
including remote operating vehicles (ROVs) and sonar and underwater
cameras as it goes on the ultimate search for Nessie's remains.
10-11pm -- UFO Hunters - Giant UFOs
On January 28, 1994, an Air France pilot, his crew and passengers
witnessed a brightly-glowing red and brown disc-shaped object while
flying to London. Estimates of the disc's size were between 800 and
1,000 feet long, more than three times the size of a 747. On April 25,
2007, the captain of a passenger plane crossing the English Channel
observed two bright-yellow flat objects for more than 15 minutes. He
is astounded by their size, which he claims could have been as much as
a mile wide. A pilot from a separate aircraft corroborated the story.
The team takes to the skies to probe some of the largest UFO sightings
ever recorded.

and truckers that haul eight billion tons of freight annually. Tour
the world's largest truck stop that offers fuel, food, parking,
private showers, a movie theater, a dentist office, and a barbershop.
Look at how 18-wheelers can power up their rigs with a high tech
parking lot hookup called IdleAire; complete with heat, air
conditioning, a telephone line, a computer with high speed internet,
and of course satellite TV. We'll also see how 30,000 gallon
underground diesel storage tanks are manufactured. And we'll weigh and
inspect a truck while it's barely slowing down. In an interview with
Willie Nelson, we'll explore one of the most unique truck stops in the
United States and the revolutionary fuel it sells: biodiesel.

fastest locomotive in the world. Ride on the little engines that could
as they guide giant ships through the Panama Canal. Watch two
locomotives crash head-on as the federal government monitors safety.
Descend 700 feet below the earth's surface where mining locomotives
move miners through a maze of tunnels. Then, it's a "jiffy lube" for
locomotives inside America's largest maintenance shop. Finally, glide
into the future with a locomotive that levitates on a cushion of air.
8-9pm -- Modern Marvels - George Washington Carver Tech.
One of the 20th century's greatest scientists, George Washington
Carver's influence is still felt. Rising from slavery to become one of
the world's most respected and honored men, he devoted his life to
understanding nature and the many uses for the simplest of plant life.
His scientific research in the late 1800s produced agricultural
innovations like crop rotation and composting. Part of the
"chemurgist" movement that changed the rural economy, he found
ingenious applications for the peanut, soybean, and sweet potato. At
Tuskegee Institute, Dr. Carver invented more than 300 uses for the
peanut, while convincing poor farmers to rotate cotton crops with
things that would add nutrients to the soil. A visionary, Carver
shared his knowledge free of charge, happy in his Tuskegee laboratory
where he could use his gifts to help others.

projectile and target as they perform their breathtaking feats.
8-9pm -- Hooked: Illegal Drugs and How They Got That Way - Marijuana.
In a series investigating the history of drug use, we begin our trip
tracing the rise of marijuana and synthetic amphetamines. Marijuana,
from the Indian hemp plant, has been used worldwide as a source of
rope, cloth, and paper; its medicinal qualities were first documented
4,000 years ago in China. But it's best known as the drug of choice of
the 1960s. During WWII, US troops were given an estimated 200 million
amphetamines to fight drowsiness and battle fatigue, and they're still
used to fight depression.
9-10pm -- The History of Sex - From Don Juan to Queen Victoria.
This part of our sexual sweep through history covers the intensely
romantic (Don Juan, Casanova) and the darkly perverse (Marquis de
Sade), then moves on to the 19th century with its quirky views. It is
the era of Queen Victoria, yet mail-order pornography takes off. We
also reveal carnal kinks of the Pilgrims and Puritans.
10-11pm -- The History of Sex - The Middle Ages.
In this steamy history, we trace the evolution of sexual beliefs and
practices from the fall of the Roman Empire through the Renaissance.
We'll also uncover the conflicting extremes of medieval romance and
sex--from the bawdy life of European city dwellers to the staid and
dangerous practice of courtly love. Medieval scholars offer humorous
and interesting carnal tales of lusty knights, bawdy widows, naughty
priests, and chaste maidens.

8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Mutant Canines
Something strange is killing Fido. In 2006, a number of pets were
killed in Maine and Minnesota by a beast locals describe as a
mutant--one of these creatures was hit by a car. The body of this
strange looking creature will be DNA tested to see what it really is.
Two expeditions will be launched to trap other dog killers still at
large. One-part history, one-part science and one part monster,
discover the truth behind legendary monsters.

Mountain lions do occasionally attack humans, and when they do it
makes headlines across the country. However, it has been reported that
people are seeing something else--attacks by large black cats.
Pictures and law enforcement encounters prove a big black cat is out
there, while it resembles a mountain lion, there is no such thing as a
black mountain lion. From Texas to Minnesota to West Virginia, follow
the eyewitness accounts and physical evidence of these demon cats.
Bones from a carcass that eyewitnesses claim was a huge black cat will
be put to the DNA test. One-part history, one-part science and one
part monsters discover the truth behind legendary monsters.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Axes, Swords and Knives.
Blade implements have been a part of civilized man's arsenal since the
Paleolithic Age, when sharp tools were chipped off of flint or obsidian.
But with the discovery of metallurgy, people were able to forge stronger,
more versatile blade implements. We visit an axe-throwing contest in
Wisconsin for an introduction to the least subtle of the blade tools.
Then we visit a swordsmith and an experienced swordfighter who work in
traditional methods from ancient sources, and review the history of knives.
8-9pm -- Modern Marvels - Coin Operated
Every 15 minutes, Americans insert over 3.5 million coins into vending
machines. We'll visit a sprawling factory that mass produces the latest
in high-tech vending machines, and a small company that makes a giant
gumball machine that holds 40,000 gumballs. Then, there's the dreaded
parking meter, including new ones that can take credit cards and text
message for help when they are being robbed or vandalized. We'll visit
America's last pinball factory, and see what strange coin operated fare
kept people amused 100 years ago. Is coin counting Coinstar the ultimate
coin operated machine? We'll follow their coins all the way to a Brinks
warehouse. Our last stop is Marvin's Marvelous Mechanized Museum, housing
some of the weirdest coin-op machines ever invented. If seeing a life-
sized, robotic old man vomit is your idea of entertainment, drop a couple
of quarters into "Dr. Ralph Bingenpurge". Now, that's money well spent.
9-10pm -- Cities of the Underworld - Alcatraz Down Under
Beneath the sunny façade of Sydney, Australia lies a dark past. Built on
the backs of convicts, gold miners and outlaws, this nation forged its
freedom from the depths of the underground. Explore Australia's Alcatraz,
the 19th century prison that housed Sydney's most threatening criminals.
Travel deep into a complex of natural caves that sheltered a gang of
escaped outlaws, and the gold mines that produced both riches and the
birth of the worker's movement. Host Don Wildman heads underground with
surviving witnesses to uncover the location of a secret WWII chemical
weapons stash and gets access to a sordid subterranean fort where soldiers
en route to the battlefields of Vietnam were trained to resist torture.
10-11pm -- Ancient Discoveries - Ancient New York
New York's towering skyline and world-leading technology have made it the
ultimate city, yet breathtaking new discoveries reveal that the blueprints
for this megametropolis were in fact laid thousands of years ago. From
brutal bloodsports staged in ancient Madison Square Gardens to Times Square-
style celebrations at a gigantic neolithic calendar, you are about to
discover that everything you thought you knew about the Big Apple comes
from our distant forefathers.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Night
Some activities only occur when the world is dark. We stay up late off
the coast of California to hunt some slippery and slimy nocturnal
creatures: squid by the tens of thousands. Fishermen show us how they
lure them into their net by mesmerizing them with the boat's powerful
lights. We also visit Toronto, Canada, the self proclaimed "worm
capitol of the world", where an army of pickers pluck countless night
crawlers emerging from their burrows. In Tennessee, we put a night
vision lens on our camera to capture the action as military trainees
try their hand at the latest night vision gear. And we'll experience
how hard it is to evade a police helicopter's blindingly bright
Spectrolab spotlight, or powerful noses and sharp teeth when the cops
deploy their K-9 units. For some after hours fun, we'll see how more
than six hundred, 2,000 watt lights can turn night into day inside
the Pittsburgh Pirates' new state-of-the-art stadium.
8-9pm -- Siberian Apocalypse -
At 7:15am on June 30, 1908, a giant fireball, as bright the Sun,
explodes in the Siberian sky with a force a thousand times greater
than the Hiroshima bomb. It decimates 1,000 square miles of forest--
over half the size of Rhode Island, and was the biggest cosmic
disaster in the history of civilization. What caused the apocalyptic
fire in the sky? Over a hundred theories surround what is called the
Tunguska event, varying from asteroids and comets to black holes and
alien spaceships. Most scientists agree the Tunguska event will
happen again, and next time, the human toll could be unimaginable.
Now, NASA and other organizations race against time to stop the
next planet killer before it ignites Armageddon.
9-10pm -- How the Earth Was Made - San Andreas Fault
The San Andreas Fault runs roughly 800 miles through some of the most
valuable real estate in the world. The southern section hasn't had a
significant quake for over 300 years and is now primed and ready for
another "big one." This new series takes a trip along the most famous
fault line in the world and examine the geology that gives it its
immense destructive power. It's an investigation given new urgency by
recent warnings from 300 of America's leading scientists about the
death and devastation that a major earthquake on the fault could
unleash on Los Angeles.
10-11pm -- The Universe - The Moon
The moon has comforted man for thousands of years. It's been
everything from a god to a compass, and the only cosmic body
human beings have ever visited. NASA is planning to build a
permanent outpost there. Discover how the moon came to be--if
you don't already know, you will be astounded.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Salt
It's the only rock we eat, and we need it to live. History has
shown that those who have salt rule the world--and today, this
versatile substance has 14,000 known uses. Travel to a salt mine
1,800 feet below Lake Erie where workers blast salt from a massive
deposit spanning four states, to an evaporation facility near
San Francisco where machines harvest salt from the briny ocean.
Visit a Florida restaurant that offers 40 different varieties of
salt...and journey to New York to explore salt's surprising number
one application: de-icing snowy winter roads. See how a high-tech
desalination plant removes salt from ocean water, producing 25
million gallons of drinkable water every day. And if it's speed
you're after, look no further than a natural drag strip in Utah
made of pure salt.
8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Giant Bear Attack
Are big bears are getting more assertive and aggressive? In pre-
historic times, giant bears weighed up to a ton and stalked early
man. Listen as witnesses describe horrific bear attacks and take a
look at unusual bear remains. The team journeys from Alaska to
New Jersey to learn about bear activity and if hybridization or the
next step in bear evolution could produce another crop of giant bears?
9-10pm -- MonsterQuest - Cattle Killers
Something mysterious and violent is killing cattle of the North
American plains, but what is behind these gruesome attacks: satanic
cults, an unknown predator, or something previously unknown to man?
For forty years, there have been thousands of cases of cattle found
mutilated under abnormal circumstances; these livestock are found dead,
often with their blood drained and organs or body parts removed from
their bodies. Abnormally high radiation levels have been detected in
the soil near the dead animals when they are found, and the deaths
often do not match the pattern of known scavengers. With no apparent
footprints or tracks leading to or from the carcasses and strange
circles near the site, the mystery only deepens. A MonsterQuest team
will gather samples and head to a laboratory to scientifically analyze
the most compelling evidence.
10-11pm -- UFO Hunters - Aliens at the Airport
There are approximately 30,000 commercial flights in the United States
every day, and as the number of flights increase, so does the proximity
of UFO encounters. On November 7, 2006, a strange object hovered for
ten minutes over Gate C17 at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago
before rapidly ascending into the sky. On October 23, 2004, in Osaka,
Japan, a UFO was spotted tailing Japanese Airlines flight 1512 as it
came in for a landing. Are UFOs following our own commercial aircraft
and surveying our airports? The team sifts through the evidence of
these and other mysterious cases to determine if UFOs have a peaceful
or malevolent agenda.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Civil War Tech.
America protects its homeland with the most technologically advanced
military force ever conceived. Although they fight 21st-century battles
worldwide, the technology unleashed is directly descended from a war
fought more than 140 years ago. This episode explores how the War
between North and South was the first modern war, and the technology
used in it was a quantum leap beyond any previous conflict. The machine
gun, aerial reconnaissance, advanced battlefield medicine, instantaneous
communication, ironclad ships, even the first aircraft carrier were all
innovations developed during the Civil War. We'll investigate improvements
in weapons, sea power, transportation, troop conveyance, food processing,
medical care, and telecommunications. At a time when the nation was
divided, Civil War technology revolutionized the way war was waged. Today,
those technological milestones have evolved to ensure that our modern
military has no equal in the world.
8-9pm -- Modern Marvels - Candy.
It pulls, stretches, bubbles, hardens, crunches, and melts! We eat about
7-billion tons of it yearly. We're talking about Candy--loved by kids and
savored by adults. Candy-making evolved from a handmade operation to high-
tech mass production. Nowhere is that more apparent than at Hershey's. On
a tour of their newest production facility, we learn how they process the
cocoa bean. At See's Candy, we see how they make their famous boxed
chocolates--on a slightly smaller scale than Hershey's. We get a sweet
history lesson at Schimpff's Confectionery, where they still use small
kettles, natural flavors, and hand-operated equipment. Then, we visit
Jelly Belly, purveyors of the original gourmet jellybean. Saltwater-taffy
pullers hypnotize us on our sweet-tooth tour; we gaze at extruders making
miles of licorice rope; and watch as nostalgia candy bars Abba-Zaba and
Big Hunk get packaged. And in this sugary hour, we digest the latest
sensations--gourmet chocolates and scorpion on a stick!
9-10pm -- Gangland - Devil's Fire

7-8pm -- History's Mysteries - Ship of Gold.
In 1857, en route to New York from California, the steamship Central
America vanished in a killer storm off North Carolina's coast, taking
with her 400 passengers and nearly 21 tons of gold bullion. Here is the
story of the worst US peacetime sea disaster, and how high-tech treasure
hunters recovered her fortune over 130 years later.
8-9pm -- Modern Marvels - Chocolate
Americans eat over three and a half billion pounds of chocolate each
year--that's 12 pounds per person per year with annual sales topping
$13 billion! Take a tour through the entire chocolate making process and
learn how chocolate has been thought of as an energizer, an aphrodisiac
and a cure-all. Watch as colorful M&Ms are made by the millions at Mars.
Visit a working cacao bean farm in Central America for a demonstration
of the hand harvesting techniques that have remained unchanged for
centuries. To the delight of those who indulge, this awesome edible is
now even good for you--full of antioxidants, cholesterol-lowering
polyphenols, and heart-healthy flavonols.
9-10pm -- Secrets of the Dollar Bill -
What do the symbols and numbers on the dollar bill actually mean? We'll
take a look at the shadier and more intriguing threads of meaning and
symbolism at play in the bill's design. Extraordinary strands of
numerology are interwoven into the bill's structure, which, on analysis,
suggest surprising hidden alignments. Why does it look the way it does
and how has it changed through the ages? We'll analyze the significance
of changes in the bill's appearance over time and examine alternative
designs. We'll also look at the historical context of the bill's
conception--what the dollar bill set out to represent--the patriotism
and idealism of a young republic; and go inside the Treasury's Department
of Printing and Engraving for exclusive access to the presses and the
people who process the millions upon millions of dollars in circulation.
10-11pm -- Presidential Prophecies -
It's a little-known, but fascinating aspect of the Presidency. Throughout
history, numerous US Presidents have claimed to prophesy through visions.
In 1778, George Washington claimed that an apparition of a woman appeared
to him one evening and foretold the birth, progress, and future of the
America. While in office, both Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan consulted
psychics who predicted their deaths. Franklin Delano Roosevelt consulted
a psychic in the last years of his Presidency about post-WWII world
relations. Perhaps the most well-known Presidential prophecies concern
Abraham Lincoln, who participated in séances and experienced visions--
including an incident that predicted his assassination. Join us for a
Presidential peek at the past.

tourists come to see our country's history, a place of business where some
of the greatest decisions of democracy have been made and, to the families
of 41 Presidents, it has also been a home. The White House is perhaps the
most photographed location in all of the United States of America but those
images are mostly from the outside looking in. Now, President and Mrs. Bush
invite viewers to join them on the first in-depth televised tour of this
grand residence since Jacqueline Kennedy invited cameras inside in 1962.
President and Mrs. Bush share their own personal insights and what it has
been like to live in this historical house. In addition, special guests,
brothers Leslie and Leigh Keno, well known from television's Antiques
Roadshow, join Mrs. Bush to offer their insight and engaging curiosity
to the journey.

7-8pm -- Gangland - Gangster, Inc.
A gritty, true-life series exposing the world of history's most notorious
and dangerous gangs.
8-10pm -- Andrew Jackson -
Andrew Jackson was the first "common-man" President. Orphaned at 14, he
became a lawyer with no formal education, an Army General with no military
experience and President without being rich. Jackson survived the nation's
first Presidential assassination attempt, defeated the British in the
battle of New Orleans and passed the controversial Indian Removal Act
which resulted in the death of nearly 10,000 Native Americans. His
portrait on the $20 bill conveys an image of passion, strength and
confidence, but most historians will admit that he was often a "cruel" man.

Do normal humans actually possess the ability to have super powers? In Utah,
see how a man can strap on an exoskeleton and lift hundreds of pounds with
virtually no effort. In England, visit "Mr. Cyborg," a man with the ability
to control machines with merely a thought. In California, see a man glide
through the sky like Superman, then it's off to Atlanta, Georgia to see how
engineers have found a way to help people glide through the water like Aquaman.
Learn how scientists at the University of Texas are building artificial muscles
that are 400 times stronger than our own, and in Las Vegas, strap on velocity
motion stilts for a little bionic high jumping and high speed running.
8-9pm -- Secret Access: Air Force One -
Viewers will go where only the most elite insiders from the highest levels of
the US government are allowed--on board Air Force One. Discover what makes this
uniquely modified Boeing 747 faster, more secure, more comfortable and more
capable than any other comparable plane. Take a 20,000-mile voyage through the
heart of Africa and join the crew and privileged passengers on one of
Air Force One's most challenging missions.
8-9pm -- Cities of the Underworld - City of Blood
Hundreds of ghost stories lurk in the shadows of London, England, but behind
every myth and legend is the terrifying truth that sheds light on one of the
darkest periods of this city's history. In Victorian times, violent crimes,
extreme poverty and lawlessness forced Londoners to band together to survive.
In a time when science and medicine challenged the Church, and disease and
overpopulation drove the poor to do jobs only the Devil himself could imagine,
London set the stage for chaos. From body snatchers and serial killers to occult
clubs and pagan rituals, Victorian Londoners lived by their own rules...both
above and below ground. Don Wildman explores London from the bottom up and
tells the stories most would rather remain buried.
9-10pm -- Cities of the Underworld - Maya Underground
Belize was the nerve center of the ancient Mayan civilization. Hundreds of ruins
dot the landscape and reveal clues to bloody rituals, advanced architecture and
a belief in an unforgiving underworld of Mayan gods. Host Don Wildman ducks
beneath the jungles of Belize to uncover burial tombs, sacrificial altars,
ritualistic caves and the literal entrances to the Mayan underworld.
9-11pm -- Stealing Lincoln's Body -
Before Lincoln finally came to rest in a steel-and-concrete-reinforced
underground vault in Springfield, the President's body was repeatedly exhumed
and moved, his coffin frequently opened. In 1876, eleven years after Abraham
Lincoln's assassination, a band of Chicago counterfeiters plotted to steal
Lincoln's body and hold it for ransom. Their plan was to demand $200,000 and the
release of the gang's master engraver, who was in prison in Illinois. The Secret
Service--recently formed to deal with the country's ballooning counterfeiting
problem--infiltrated the gang with an informer. It also set in motion a cringe-
inducing chain of events in which a group of well-intentioned, self-appointed
guardians took it upon themselves to protect Lincoln's remains by any means
necessary. This strange story of Lincoln at un-rest reveals how important this
man was to so many, and perhaps our reluctance to let such a beloved and
visionary leader go.
10-11pm -- Cities of the Underworld - Gladiators: Blood Sport
The gladiators of ancient Rome were the ultimate fighting machines. They waged
bloody battles to the death for the entertainment of the masses--and to earn
their freedom. From the depths of the vicious and magnificent Flavian
amphitheater, to the buried brothel where they lived their last days, these are
the secret lives of Rome's famed slave warriors. Peel back the layers to uncover
the origin of these fierce fighters, as host Don Wildman heads into ancient
crypts, subterranean chambers used for pagan worship, and to the school that
taught the gladiators how survive... and how to kill.

CGI footage from the motion picture Poseidon by Wolfgang Petersen, director of
The Perfect Storm, we reveal the awesome power of this ocean menace as it really
is--a monster rising from the deep!
9-10pm -- How the Earth Was Made - The Deepest Place on Earth
The Marianas Trench is the deepest place on earth, deeper than Mt. Everest is
high. The trench is where the ocean floor disappears into the center of the earth.
The pressures at this depth are 17 times greater than what it takes to crush a
nuclear submarine. Only two men have ever been down the Trench, fewer than have
set foot on the moon. Follow the daring missions into the abyss and explore the
extraordinary geology that has created this deep scar along the ocean floor.

8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Death of Loch Ness
The search for the Loch Ness Monster has captivated the world for decades, but now
a startling realization about "Nessie" might shatter this age-old myth. Could the
Loch Ness Monster be dead, and do its remains lie hidden at the bottom of the lake?
Robert Rines, a world renowned inventor, believes he may have seen the remains of
this mythical beast and is on a mission to find evidence to prove it. Rines, who
believes he saw the creature surface in the lake in 1972, caught sonar images of
the monster's remains. He believes Nessie's death may explain the decrease of
sightings in recent years. Our search team looks for evidence and deploys the
latest technology including remote operating vehicles (ROVs) and sonar and
underwater cameras as it goes on the ultimate search for Nessie's remains.
9-10pm -- MonsterQuest - Swamp Stalker
In the marshy swamp land of Texarkana a legendary beast has hunted the residents of
a small Arkansas town. Their story was immortalized in a well known movie, The
Legend of Boggy Creek. The real events were a series of violent nocturnal attacks
that left behind not only fear and panic, but also remarkable tracks. But the
evidence is not just confined to history. Scientific clues continue to this day,
and point to a malevolent monster that stalks the Deep South, with physical
encounters by trained trackers and discoveries of tracks and scat. The strongest
evidence will be examined using the latest scientific testing and two MonsterQuest
teams isolate the search area using both kayaks and horse-back, penetrating deep
into territory that may be the home of the swamp stalker.
10-11pm -- UFO Hunters - Alien Crashes
In the early morning hours of May 14, 2008, witnesses in Needles, CA saw a
turquoise glowing object in a rapid descent over the Colorado River. Soon after,
military helicopters carried away an object that appeared to be glowing, and
according to witnesses, military personnel canvassed the town, intimidating w
itnesses and townspeople. But alleged cover-ups of strange crashes are nothing new:
from Flatwoods, West Virginia to Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, reports of UFO clean-ups
are rampant. The team visits the site of the most current UFO crash in the world to
search for signs of what some say the government keeps trying to hide.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - George Washington Carver Tech.
One of the 20th century's greatest scientists, George Washington Carver's influence
is still felt. Rising from slavery to become one of the world's most respected and
honored men, he devoted his life to understanding nature and the many uses for the
simplest of plant life. His scientific research in the late 1800s produced
agricultural innovations like crop rotation & composting. Part of the "chemurgist"
movement that changed the rural economy, he found ingenious applications for the
peanut, soybean, and sweet potato. At Tuskegee Institute, Dr. Carver invented more
than 300 uses for the peanut, while convincing poor farmers to rotate cotton crops
with things that would add nutrients to the soil. A visionary, Carver shared his
knowledge free of charge, happy in his Tuskegee laboratory where he could use his
gifts to help others.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Carbon
It is the chemical basis of all known life and yet this simple element is also
the foundation of modern technology. Carbon burns hotter, cuts deeper,
insulates more thoroughly and absorbs more fully than any other material. See
why carbon is the key both in heavy-duty industries, as well as in tools like
the graphite pencil, the charcoal water filter, and the diamond saw blade.
Watch how carbon fiber, a material stronger than steel and lighter than
fiberglass, is made into the fuselage of a new Boeing 787. Discover why
"activated charcoal" is the material of choice for absorbing everything from
toxic heavy metals in your drinking water to funky odors in your shoes.
8-10pm -- Crime Wave: 18 Months of Mayhem -
John Dillinger, Machine Gun Kelly, Baby Face Nelson, and Bonnie and Clyde are
some of the most notorious criminals of the last century. Technological
advances like the Tommy Gun, V-8 engines with electric starters, and bullet-
proof vests often gave the robbers the advantage over the police. A spree of
robberies, killings and kidnappings during an 18-month period from 1933 to
1934 shook the nation to its core. The government responded with a war on
crime that began with America's first national police force and the rise of
the FBI. HD location photography, archival footage and evocative recreations
are used to transport the viewer back to this era and to capture the hectic
pace of this crime wave.
8-10pm -- Lost Book of Nostradamus -
In 1994, Italian journalist Enza Massa was at the Italian National Library in
Rome when she stumbled upon an unusual find. It was a manuscript dating to
1629, titled: Nostradamus Vatinicia Code. Michel de Notredame, the author's
name, was on the inside in indelible ink. The book contains cryptic and bizarre
images along with over eighty watercolor paintings by the master visionary
himself. Follow the investigative trail of how the manuscript was found in the
archives and exactly how it got there. New insight is given into the life of
Nostradamus and his relationship with Pope Urban VIII, who knew about this
manuscript and in whose possession it was for many years.
10-12am -- Godfathers -
A 2-hour panoramic and global overview of the phenomenon known as Cosa Nostra--
from the mass immigration of Italians to the US at the end of the 19th century
up to the arrests in 2000 on the New York Stock Exchange, where the Mafia was

representatives of an illegal state within the legal state and to exploit major
cycles and crises throughout history.
10-12am -- Life After People -

Plains and our skyscrapers yield to the wear and tear of time. Visit the
ghostly villages surrounding Chernobyl, which were abandoned by humans after
the nuclear disaster in 1986 and then travel to the remote islands off the
coast of Maine to search for traces of abandoned towns that have vanished from
view in only a few decades. Learn from experts in the fields of engineering,

the Lower 48 to the Alaskan Territory.
8-9pm -- Doomsday 2012: The End of Days -
There are prophecies and oracles from around the world that all seem to point
to December 21, 2012 as doomsday. The ancient Mayan Calendar, the medieval
predictions of Merlin, the Book of Revelation and the Chinese oracle of the I
Ching all point to this specific date as the end of civilization. A new
technology called "The Web-Bot Project" makes massive scans of the internet as
a means of forecasting the future... and has turned up the same dreaded date:
2012. Skeptics point to a long history of "Failed Doomsdays", but many oracles
of doom throughout history have a disturbingly accurate track record. As the
year 2012 ticks ever closer we'll speculate if there are any reasons to
believe these doomsayers.
9-10pm -- How the Earth Was Made - Krakatoa
On August 27th, 1883 a series of blasts on the island of Krakatoa culminated in
a colossal explosion that blew the island apart in one of the largest eruptions
in recorded history. We explore the underground forces that led to this
extraordinary explosion that killed over 36,000 people and the devastation that
it caused. But this is not just history because Anak Krakatoa (the Son of
Krakatoa) is growing bigger and bigger and will blow again.

where our legal tender is generated. With a storied past as tantalizing as the
wealth they create, these mints can spit out fortunes in an hour and keep our
economy flowing.
8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Cattle Killers
Something mysterious and violent is killing cattle of the North American plains,
but what is behind these gruesome attacks: satanic cults, an unknown predator,
or something previously unknown to man? For forty years, there have been
thousands of cases of cattle found mutilated under abnormal circumstances;
these livestock are found dead, often with their blood drained and organs or
body parts removed from their bodies. Abnormally high radiation levels have been
detected in the soil near the dead animals when they are found, and the deaths
often do not match the pattern of known scavengers. With no apparent footprints
or tracks leading to or from the carcasses and strange circles near the site,
the mystery only deepens. A MonsterQuest team will gather samples and head to a
laboratory to scientifically analyze the most compelling evidence.
9-10pm -- MonsterQuest - Devils in New Jersey
For over 250 years a frightening winged beast has been menacing the residents of
New Jersey. The Jersey Devil is described as a winged half-bird half-horse, with
hoofed feet and reptilian tail and a penetrating scream that echoes through the
forests of New Jersey's Pine Barrens. During one phenomenal week, over a
thousand individuals were terrorized: a trolley car was attacked, schools were
closed and panic gripped the area. Wildlife experts claim however, that
misidentification with a known animal may be responsible for the encounters, but
recent witnesses who see the beast are scared for their lives--and say the
scientific evidence will prove there is a monster. MonsterQuest launches an
unprecedented expedition for the Jersey Devil and sends sixty men into the
forbidding forest while detectives meet the witnesses to discover the truth
behind the Jersey Devil.
10-11pm -- UFO Hunters - Area 51 Revealed
On October 26, 1994, the U.S. government made their first official
acknowledgement of Area 51. Six months later, nearly 4,000 acres of
previously public land surrounding the base were closed. Now, over a decade
later, satellite photos reveal new buildings, towers and runways finishing
construction. Secret flights with blacked-out windows bring passengers from
Las Vegas. And security surrounding the perimeter of the base is tighter
than ever. The team heads to the epicenter of UFO and military conspiracy
theories to visit new vantage points, speak with former base employees, and
search the skies above America's most top-secret facility.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Strange Weapons
Modern arsenals have become much more sophisticated than bullets and bombs.
Discover microwave-like rays that make the enemy flee when they feel the heat
and laser weapons, mounted on trucks and airplanes that can blow missiles out
of the sky. Some of the newest non-lethal weapons include a B.B. machine gun
that can fire 150 pain-causing pellets a second and a flashing device
nicknamed "the pukelight" that may make you lose your lunch. Finally examine
ancient weapons that include a cutlery set containing hidden pistols and
Ninja hand claws that would put the X-Men's Wolverine to shame.
8-9pm -- Shadow Force - Pirate Strike
The team has deployed to Monrovia harbor to set up maritime operations and
combat piracy. With no roads leading into Liberia and no law enforcement, the
harbor is the focal point for crime. The team needs to covertly gather
information on the criminals who control the harbor, and set up the capability
to fight them. There is one big catch: they have to do it while living in the
harbor amongst them. If the criminal gangs catch on to what they are doing, it
will become a very dangerous place.
8-11pm -- Goodfellas -
Movie. This mob masterpiece, directed by Martin Scorsese, rivals The Godfather
as the best movie ever made about crime in America. Based on Nicholas Pileggi's
non-fiction book, "Wiseguys," it tells the real-life story of three gang
buddies--Henry Hill, Jimmy Conway, and Tommy DeVito--who pulled off the famous
$6-million Lufthansa cargo facility heist. Scorsese gets remarkable performances
from the entire cast, including Ray Liotta as the increasingly paranoid Hill,
Robert De Niro as the charming but brutal Jimmy, and Joe Pesci in his greatest
role as the psychotic killer Tommy. Lorraine Bracco, as Hill's wife, and Paul
Sorvino, as the gang's boss, also shine. (1990)
10-11pm -- Shadow Force - Ivory Tracker
The team covertly joins forces with a local anti-poaching unit working to save
Kenya's last remaining black rhinos from execution by ivory-hungry poachers.
With the rhino death toll on the rise, the team brings in sophisticated tracking
gear that allows them to plant covert tracking equipment into the Rhino horns
and then follow poachers back to the black market. It's an operation that is
making every criminal poacher in Kenya nervous as hell.

8-10pm -- Nostradamus: 2012 -
Whatever is in store--a massive cosmic collision, a global environmental
disaster, an Armageddon-like religious showdown, or a more subtle transformation
--many believe that December 21, 2012 will mark a major shift in the history of
our planet. There is no cogent distinction between the sobering facts and
hysterical fiction--what, if any, modern scientific proof exists? Is there any
other compelling evidence throughout history that 2012 will be a year of
unprecedented, deadly upheaval? This special looks for the parallels between the
nightmarish daily headlines and the 2012 prophecies from Nostradamus and others.
From the mystical realms of the Guatemalan jungles to the Hopi elders and Mayan
shaman to respected thinkers of the modern age--Nostradamus' doomsday warning
will be cast in a frighteningly modern context.
10-12am -- Seven Signs of the Apocalypse -
The Seven Signs are clear: We will be struck by deadly plagues, famines and
earthquakes... The sky will turn dark and oceans will turn to blood... And the
antichrist will emerge to fight the final battle between good and evil. Could
this all be true? Experts decode this powerful prophecy and come to a startling
conclusion: there is now scientific evidence that many of these catastrophes
could, in fact, be occurring. A star falling from the sky could be one of
thousands of rogue asteroids that may be approaching earth. The plague foretold
in the Bible could be a deadly strain of avian virus that researchers fear
could kill millions. Oceans turning blood red could be triggered by
microorganisms that release dangerous neurotoxins that have the same effect as
nerve gas. To reveal the ultimate truth behind the prophecy, this investigation
will turn to the past to reveal why the prophecy was written, and why it keeps
such a powerful hold on our imagination today.

Fun fact:
According to Ripley's Believe It Or Not, the 800-mile long Aruwimi River, which flows through the Aruwimi Forest in the Congo, was unwittingly named by famous explorer David Livingstone. He asked a native what the name of the river was. The native replied "Aruwimi," which means, "What is he saying?"

The PT Boat of WW2 was based on a blueprint from Andrew Higgins, a bootlegger who had used the speedboat design for rumrunning during Prohibition. And Arlington National Cemetery has four Tomb Of The Unknown Soldiers (WW1, WW2, Korea & Vietnam) but only 3 bodies: identification processes have become so good that all remains returned from Vietnam are eventually identified!
In 1963, ventriloquist Paul Winchell was awarded a patent for the first successful artificial heart. The plastic heart was first tested on a calf, which lived 94 days.

"I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you're born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you're fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things." Douglas Adams (1952-2001, Hitchhhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)
