Fannae: Equates with the Human month of Feburary. Fannae is so call named in honour of Fannox, the capital city of the former Foxx Empire which spanned all of what is now Doggainia. Whoic: Equates with the Human month of March. Named for the Legendary Wolfhound warrior Whoric the Great. Bjorono: Equates with the Human month of April. Named for Bjorono a Breed Leader of the Poodles. Mastino: Equates with the Human month of May. Named in honour of the Mastiff breed that founded Bayark at the peak of NorthEastern Doggainia following the final defeat of the Catts. Jere: Equates with the Human month of June. Named in honour of Jere the Wise, the only Poodle worth bothering with as he severed the Southern flank of the Catts during the last Great Catt war. Baric: Equates with the Human month of July. Named in honour of Baric the mighty who first weilded the Onyx of Strength. Carlic: Equates with the Human month of August. Often mistaken as being named for Clara the Wise, Blind Seer of Doggainia. In actuallity it is named for Carile the Lesser, the great Cattish druid who found against Darno the Great. He was partially responsible for the destruction of Darno at Mt. Kerano. Summonember: Equates with the Human month September. Named for the Summoner. The Summoner is the minor deity who calls forth doggs to a common location for when the Giver desires to speak with them. Oatum: Equates with the Human month of October. Named for the grove where the Giver first appeared. Nawlindic: Equates with the Human month of November. Named for Nawlin the Great, Savior of Doggainia. Dimitric: Equates with the Human month of December. Origins of this name are uncertain. The old texts conflict, indicating that Dimitric was both the first Arch-Mage of Doggainia or that Dimitric is the name of the Giver. Days Giverday: Equates to the Human day of Sunday. On Giverday all doggs give thanks to their major god, the Giver. Monarchday: Equates to the Human Day of Monday. This day of the week is deticated to Monarchs, basically it is the one day of week that doggs work to pay off their taxes. Terday: Equates with the Human Tuesday. Ter is an alternate form of the word 'his'. This day is devoted to male doggs. Warday: Equates with the Human Wednesday. Accourding to tradition, wars may only be declared on Wardays, in practice though, this rarely happens. Herday: Equates with the Human Tuesday. This day is devoted to female doggs. Foxxday: Equates with the Human Friday. Named to ensure that the Doggs greatest allies, the Foxxes, are always remembered. Doggday: Equates with the Human Saturday.
