Booth
Our favorite trio will have a booth and they need your help. Send in your favorite 8 x 10 of you with the band to the address above and they will put it on their booth. Steve, Amanda, and Tyler will even sign it for you while you're there and you can pick it up at the end of the week. How cool is that?
3-13-03: The Wilkinson's are NOT I repeat NOT breaking up! Even though Amanda is going to do the solo thing, The Wilkinsons will still be a group. They will be releasing another album together as a group. For more info read this.
3-8-03: It's official. Amanda Wilkinson has signed with Universal South as a solo artist. This is what is on CMT's website:
Amanda Wilkinson Goes Solo
Amanda Wilkinson has signed a solo deal with Universal South Records and is set to begin recording a new album in late spring. It will be the first solo album for the 21-year-old singer who was a member of the trio The Wilkinsons with father Steve and younger brother Tyler. In 1998, the group scored a hit with their debut single, "26 Cents." Her producer will be Tony Brown, the Universal South executive who has produced Vince Gill, George Strait, Reba McEntire and many others. Brown says, "I've been a major fan of Amanda's for years, and I'm excited about going into the studio with such a great singer. I think there's a lot of curiosity about what Amanda will do on her own project." (03/07/03)
Don't know what this means for the Wilkinsons. GAC's website made it sound like they're breaking up, but I refuse to believe that unless they say it themselves. After all as far as I know they are working on 3 albums at the moment, one being group one.
3-06-03: Word has it Amanda has signed with Universal Records. If I hear anything more I'll let you guys know, but so far I haven't found anything official online anywhere.
3-04-03: The Wilkinsons were in Saskatchewan, Canada over the weekend for the Telemiracle Telethon. The telethon lasted 20 hours and was televised. The Wilkinsons I'm told, were there for most of it. They sang Paper Doll (twice), Jimmy, and 26 Cents, among others. Currently, Steve, Tyler, and Amanda are working on 3 different albums (a group one, a solo Amanda one, and a solo Tyler one). (Credit: Martina). Also, I've known this for awhile but I wasn't sure I should say anything but since Steve seems to be talking about it I will now tell you all. I heard from a reliable source (not telling who) that Amanda got signed to a label and that Tyler is looking for one. He wants to go rock. Best of luck to both of them. Now don't start freaking out, they haven't split up or anything. From what I gather they are just branching out in a few different areas right now. They are going to record one more album as a family at least. In other news those two websites have been taken down. The girl (who shall remain anonymous) emailed me an apology. Case closed :0)
3-01-03: Wilkinson Fans (especially those with websites) beware. There is a girl stealing a bunch of people's pictures and posting them on her websites without asking for permission. Seems she's trying to pass them off as her own pictures, but heck my friends and I are in some of those pics and there are tags on a lot of them saying where they belong. I'm pretty ticked, I mean I work hard on this website and then some girl goes and steals all my pictures and song lyrics? I think not! If you want to check out the websites go here and here. And if anyone knows who the girl is please let me know cuz this has got to stop.
2-25-03: Looks like the rumors about Amanda Wilkinson going solo may come true, but not for awhile. There is a new label called Universal South, which is run by Elvis's old piano player Tony Brown and Arista Record's Former Tim Dubois and they have their eyes on signing Amanda Wilkinson. However, The Wilkinsons plan to record at least one more album together as a group, which will probably be released independently. Good news huh? :) To read the article I got this information from click here.
