Chapter Five

Sorry this is so short!

"Good morning!" Melina chirped as she danced into the kitchen at 10:30 the next morning.

"Morning Melina!" Summer replied, just as cheerful. She smiled widely and went back to watching the fish swim around in their little fish bowl on the kitchen counter.

"Hey, I'm sorry about what happened...I'm sorry about everything really, can we be friends?" Melina asked. She was in a really good mood and she didn't want anything to get her down.

"That's okay. I'm sorry about the dish washing incident, I kinda did it on purpose." Summer answered, she didn't want Melina to take all of the guilt.

"That's okay. Oh and call me Millie." Melina replied. Their conversation ended and Melina began to make her breakfast. The best she could do was a burnt piece of toast. Summer went back into the lounge room where Taylor had slept on her bed that night again. He was lying on his back, tangled in the sheets and was snoring lightly. Summer sat on the couch. She was bored, all they did was sit around all day. After a few minutes of pondering over whether 'I can't Believe It's not Butter' was actually butter or not, the doorbell rang. Melina came past in a hurry and flung it open. Summer was hot on her heels.

"Hey. I'm Jason from the radio station." the guy in front of them said. Melina looked him up and down.

"Hey, come on in." she said softly. She was falling for this guy. Summer could see it written all over her face. Melina let Jason into the house and there was a camera crew right behind him.

"What's this for?" Summer asked.

"We wanted to interview all of ya and get some extra footage." Jason answered. They stepped into the lounge room where Taylor was still asleep.

"Isn't that your bed Summer?" Jason asked. Summer nodded and blushed. Now people were going to think that there was something going on between the two of them.

"Tay honey, get up, the media know abou us!" she said, winking at the camera.

"Huh?" Taylor muttered and rolled over.

"NOOO!" Zac screamed from the kitchen. Melina and Summer exchanged a look before dashing in there to see what the problem was. The camera crew were hot on her trail.

"Zac, what's up?" Melina asked, patting his back.

"Bubbles!!" he cried.

'Bubbles?' Summer mouthed to Melina. Melina shrugged.

"Who's Bubbles?" she asked him.

"MY GOLDFISH IS DEAD DAMN IT! IT'S THIS HOUSE! THIS WHOLE FREAKIN' THING IS SERIOUSLY SCREWED UP!! SCREW YOU GUYS! I'M GOING...TO MY ROOM!" Zac screamed. He stormed out of the room, leaving the golfish lying limply on the counter. Soon, Taylor came in, his hair sticking up everywhere.

"What happened?" he asked, not noticing the cameras. Melina and Summer filled him in on what had happened and he cracked up laughing.

"He loved his fish. But it was so stupid. Oh well, you gotta watch out of his little mood swings. Just give him some sugar and he'll be fine." Taylor laughed. He turned around and he came face to face with a camera. He screamed as loud as he could, causing everyone to block their ears...
