Achievement Increases -- Rockwood Valley Middle School

I post significant 1997-98 achievement score increases for Rockwood Valley Middle School on this site. Considering all that occurred, these achievement increases are a very pleasant surprise. The most significant of the increases seem to come from kids who had not done well previously. I am frankly very proud to have had even a small part in facilitating these increases.

I apologize to anyone who was offended when I "kicked over the applecart" with regard to their fantasies about the Rockwood School District. I will write it as I said it -- Your children have traditionally NOT done well on national tests! Sooner or later, YOU will have to do something about that fact!

Though my single-minded, bull-headed drive for these increases has caused me considerable difficulty, everything that I implemented I would implement again. The children of the school would deserve it.
