Carolyn Lynde/Lynn (1814-1853) was born in Pennsylvania. She married Thomas Edward Carlyle (1813-1897) in 1838 in Richland County, Ohio. Then they went to Livingston County, Missouri where they appeared in the 1840 and 1850 censuses. It is thought they went to Lafayette County, Missouri shortly after 1850 where Caroline died about 1853. It is thought that she is buried in or near Dover, Lafayette County, Missouri.
The children of Thomas and Caroline (Lynde) Carlyle: Infant Daughter (c 1838), David A. (1840), Mary Catherine (1843), Minerva (1845), William Warner (1848), Lydia Jane(1850).
