Three planes have crashed into major U.S. landmarks in New York and Washington, destroying New York's mighty twin towers and hitting the Pentagon in deadly attacks on the United States. Loss of life was feared to be catastrophic and could number in the hundreds or even thousands.

Our city streets, schools, movies theaters and tv programs have become filled with pornography, drugs, and violence while the churches has become more and more empty. Have you ever wondered why Christianity has such a bad rap now-a-days ? I've found that many people proclaim to love the Lord Jesus, and then they do everything to disgrace his holy name ?

I did to, at one time in my life ! And after I was saved, I had enough ! I made up my mind that I'm not going to take it ANYMORE !!!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Pastor Bill. A non-denominational pastor and a re-tired law enforcement officer.

I have heard and seen the same tired message proclaimed, thats getting out: Shun sinners and sin and accept Jesus Christ. Now, I agree with the second part. You should shun sin and accept Jesus Christ. But, remember Jesus Christ came for the sinners. And, it is time that somebody brought Christianity message back up to date. While atheists win battle after battle to take Christ and prayer and christianity of any type out of the schools, Christians sit back and do nothing. So, I came up with a plan [ GOD'S WORD, ] to help stop that.

In order to fight the insanity of what our daily lives have become, I decided to fight insanity with INSANITY. No longer will I accept that Satan can have his run of me and on the world like he has, God's people need to take a stand.

So, I have decided on a sure-fire weapon. Telling you folks to get yourself a Bible and read and study the word of God from the Bible, cover to cover every single day. ( Pretty crazy, huh ? ) Only Satan believes that.

~ TO KNOW GOD'S WORD...

Secondly, from time to time, I will offer bits and comments on Christianity that you may never have considered..... ( Like how come we call people who live together " living in sin " when they haven't even become Christians yet. Ain't they already " living in sin " if they are married and haven't accepted Christ, yet ? )

TO BE SEEN, AS EXAMPLES ! ! !

To-day, we see our churches are filling up again! People are returning to the Lord. In the wake of the recent tragedies that have struck our blessed country, people are returning to the Lord. Many ask how could this have happened ? We've heard answers ranging from " How could it have not happened ? " to " So, those who have suffered can help others to " Only " God " knows why.

Rather than delving into how could this have happened, let's take a look at rather, " what do we do from here. " When King David lost the life of his child, he stopped fasting and mourning. His servants asked him how he could let life return to normal. " And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell {whether} GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live ? But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast ? can I bring him back again ? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. " {2 Samuel 2: 22-23}

Therefore, we need to find a way to return our lives to normal and start praising and thanking God. But that brings up another question: King David had closure when his son was taken from him, but some might think there is no closure as those who did this to us might strike again. The question is then " shouldn't we retaliate and stop these people ? "

It is easy for Christians to take the extremes on both sides of whether or not retaliation should occur. Some might say that it would be wrong for retaliation. Others might say that we have to retaliate. We pose to you that the answer is quite different from what you expect.

If you take a look in the book of Romans, written by the Apostle Paul, the answer is this: " For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power ? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to {execute} wrath upon him that doeth evil. " Romans 13: 3-4

You might say, what does that mean ? It means that as Christians, WE do not have to make the decision. Rather, as God has appointed us leaders, we need to let them handle the situation.

What do we as Christians need to do in the meantime ? What has always been our calling: SERVE GOD AND PRAY ! And how do we serve God ? We help as many people as we can. Be they victims who have lost loved ones in the wake of this tragedy, or be they homeless or hungry. If we cannot do that directly, then we pray for those that can. We pray for the victims. We pray for our leaders. We pray for our enemies. Even our perceived enemies.

Let us stop for a minute here. What do we mean when we say " perceived " enemies. There are a lot of Islamic Americans, Arab Americans, and Islamic worshippers around the world who are innocent of this deed. Although innocent, like many others, they still do not know what is needed for salvation. They still need to learn the love of our Lord and that Christ is our Savior. Here is the perfect opportunity for us to show them " the Light of the world. " Serving can also include teaching. In serving our Lord in all these ways, we not only honor our Lord, but we do the thing that Christians can do best.

So, brothers and sisters, we need not concern ourselves with the thoughts of retaliation. Instead, let us fight the good fight by making our lives a " living example, which is our reasonable service. " {If you really must know, although I'd rather you looked it up and found it yourselves, that comes from the Book of Romans also. { Chapter 12 verse 1 to be precise.}
