Lewis Grooms - Madison Co AL

Lewis Grooms b.1818 in Madison Co. AL d.9-30-7863 at the battle of 
chickamauga. Served in the Mexican War May 1846 til Aug 1846.
He married Elizabeth Caroline Imes  6-5-1839 Shelbey Co. Tenn.
their children:  Elizabeth      1-16-1841 LA.

Parents may have been Richard and Francis they traveled together and
lived in the same area. I know he had a brother named William.
Also had a Wilmoth Grooms B. 1822 TN married James Leamon 3-8-1838
in Texas. She later found on Texas census living with Lewis and family
Wilmoth and James had two children  Ann E  and William J 
William J married Cynthia Ann 7-14-1865  Anderson Co, Texas
