| I have been Painting portraits primarily of children, for over thirty-eight years. After studying painting at Washington University in St. Louis, I had a desire to pursue a more specialized field of portraiture by learning from the well known portrait artist, Mildred Carpenter. |  |  |  |
| Even though drawing and painting "people" always intrigued me, it seemed my portrait commissions began to be mostly children and the medium of pastel began to be my favorite. I felt that with pastel, I could achieve a softness of color, and still be able to attain the likeness, expression and personality of the child. |  |  |  |
| When you love your subjects and the medium with which you work, good things begin to happen. I have to thank the Lord forthe talent he has given me and the way I can create a product that has a lasting value. |  |  | ||
