In another time, at another place,
God's Son, Jesus, came to earth;
He came to save us from our sins,
And teach us about a new birth.

At another time, in another place,
I might have sat at Jesus' feet;
Listening to His great wisdom,
And learning for what to seek.



I have often wondered,
What I would do if I lived in Jesus' day;
Would I have believed His words,
And accepted His forgiving grace?



Would I have eaten with the five thousand,
Would I have followed Him day after day?
Would I have watched as He gave His life,
So that for my sins He could pay?

But since I live in this time and place,
I can trust the witness of brothers;
Who saw the miracles and risen Lord,
So I will trust no other.
