Autumn's Coming

The trees have new colorful gowns,
The flowers of summer go to sleep;
The air is feeling much cooler,
Summer is leaving but we won't weep.

Pumpkins and gourds dot the land,
Scarecrows have their day;
We usher in new holidays,
Knowing winter is on the way.

But even though the seasons change,
My Jesus never will;
When all is cold and ice,
He will be with me still.

Jesus will guard my heart and soul,
He will give me His peace;
Jesus died so I could live,
And my heartache will one day cease.

Autumn is a time to slow down,
It's a time for seeing God's bounty;
Jesus is always good to us,
My heart accepts Him soundly.

As the leaves change their color,
And life takes a turn;
Let Jesus guard your steps,
And for Him only yearn.

Jesus paid a hefty price,
So you could forever live;
So believe in the Son of God,
And your faith to Him give.
