Blow, blow thou winter winds,
Blow away all our pain and sorrow;
Blow away all our stinging tears,
Let us rejoice and smile on the morrow.
The cold of winter winds and sin,
Can cause us so much concern;
We know where to find our comfort,
I pray this one lesson all have learned.
Blow, blow thou winter winds,
The snow you bring gives our children fun;
Sledding and skating bring such joy,
But we get anxious for the spring sun.
Blow, blow thou winter winds,
Let us use this time to pray;
Let us find peace from our God,
For Jesus will come back someday.
While these winter winds blow,
And keep us stuck inside,
Let's get ready for His coming,
And open the door of our hearts wide.
