FATHERS
Fathers
are a special breed,
Who walk across this land;
Most are very ordinary,
Not so very grand.
They've
taken on a thankless job,
Most are called Daddy or Dad;
They try to build up a child,
A pretty little girl or an active
lad.
By
working each and every day,
They provide shelter and food;
They teach them how to play
ball,
They teach them what is good.
A
boy will catch his first fish,
Because Dad took him to the
lake;
A girl will change a tire,
He wants her to know for her
sake.
Their
job often is not fun,
They must forever show strength;
But their love will always come
through,
In its width and in its length.
