Jesus and Coffee

Jesus and my mug of coffee,
That's a great way to start the day;
Jesus will guide you always,
And coffee will keep you awake.

God's Word is the way to start,
It will fill your day with strength;
Take your coffee with you,
Then give time with Jesus some length.

In God's Word are battles and wars,
You will read of peace and love;
You will find disobedience and evil,
But, most of all, the grace of God above.

The stories of the Old Testament,
Are leading to Jesus, the very Son of God;
The New Testament gives us the gospel,
And by His life you will be awed.

So take your coffee with you,
Find a quiet place to pray and read;
You will be so very pleased,
Where this journey with Jesus will lead.
