Welcome to my kitchen,
The place where lives are shared;
Over a cup of coffee
We'll talk of what we've dared.
In my kitchen food is cooked,
Food for soul and for heart;
It is a place of wonder,
And ideas often start.
It's a place where we can relax,
A place for playing games;
It's a warm, inviting room
Where I learn more than your name.
My kitchen is the center
Of my home filled with love;
But please don't come a-checking
With your little white glove.
My kitchen is a place
Of laughter and many smiles;
I pray you visit us often
And share our love a while.
