God has given us mothers,
Of every size and shape;
Mothers who know how to love,
And get us out of scrapes.
On this one day of the year,
We try to show we know;
How she sacrifices in life,
To give our lives a glow.
Mothers have many jobs,
She is paid in kisses and hugs;
Her work is never done,
From cleaning to giving drugs.
Her kiss can heal scraped knees,
Her hug fixes a broken heart;
She shifts gears in a wink,
She is often very smart.
God has given us mothers,
So we can grow in love;
We learn how to be kind,
And be someone she's proud of.
On this day thank God for her,
And show her that you care;
She only wants your love,
So give to your mother, her share.
