ONLY ONE LIFE

Only one life,
T'will soon be past;
Only what's done,
For Christ will last.



I want my days on earth to count,
I pray I leave a legacy of love;
Spread the truth of what God's done,
And sit at His feet in heaven above.



Knowing Jesus is vital in life,
Loving Him is the only way;
Life is sometimes very hard,
But, by my side, He'll always stay.



Children and grandchildren, hear me now,
As I age let my faith grow;
Let it grow in you as well,
And know that Jesus cares for my soul.



Let me have only good to say,
Pray I never complain;
Let me control this unruly tongue,
And grace to persevere let me gain.



Let my life reflect Jesus' light,
He is my strength and my hope;
Without His never ending love,
In this world, I could not cope.
