The Pirate and the Boston Girl

There once was a pirate who sailed the world;
He fell in love with a Boston girl,
He loved her truly,
She treated him cruelly,
Her love for him was unknown.

He longed to hold her in his arms so tight;
She fought him with all her feminine might;
But when she gave in,
His battle he'd win,
When her love for him was shown.

He touched her lightly on the cheek,
Hoping to make her willpower weak,
She couldn't fight,
He held her right,
His caress was oh so warm.

He held her close against his chest;
She felt his warmth against her breast;
He loved her long,
He loved her strong,
And he kept her from all harm.

The pirate loved his Boston maid;
He gave her love, drove away the hate;
She gave him a smile,
He laughed a while,
And their war existed no more.

They lived together in love and peace;
Their tensions they could now release;
He made her happy,
She made him Pappy,
And their love was known from shore to shore.
