Single Again
There's
no man in my life,
I'm no longer someone's wife;
But there're no tears; I'm not sad,
Single life ain't that bad.
No
more nights filled with tears,
No more nights filled with fears;
I've done some things I always missed,
I have a never-ending list.
The
grass is greener, the flowers bloom,
Sunshine seems to fill my room;
With happy days and peaceful nights,
I sleep again without the frights.
I
build my house and do my crafts,
My home I fill again with laughs;
I walk a little and ride my skates,
And I'll leave my lovelife to fate.
After
being in a bad situation for almost thirty years, I finally felt the weight
of that
burden lifted from my shoulders. Being unmarried was new and strange but I
felt almost giddy with happiness. Life was finally going my way. Everything
seemed
new and bright. I saw flowers, sunshine and even the grass with new eyes.
