Thank You, Lord
I heard a bird singing, Lord,
And I knew that You were near;
Thank you, my Savior Lord,
For allowing me to hear.
A butterfly landed on my shoulder,
Your love for me to see,
Thank you, my Loving Lord,
Sight is precious to me.
I found a wooded path,
A place where we could talk;
Thank you, Jesus Lord,
For my ability to walk.
My grandchild came running to me,
Filled with excitement and joy;
Thank you oh Precious Lord,
For love from this boy.
I smelled the lilacs blooming,
I know their odor well;
Thank you my Savior,
For the sense of smell.
I enjoyed a light lunch,
No food should we waste;
Thank you, sweet Lord,
For the gift of taste.
My soul no longer searches
For that which gives me ease;
For you have filled my heart,
With a sense of peace.
