A child is climbing
a twisted tree,
Another rides her
bike;
These are memories
of yesteryear,
When my girls were
but tykes.
Romping in the
snow,
Swimming in a brook;
One loved the outdoors,
Another loved her
books.
Memories of yesteryears,
Include happiness
and sorrow;
But I pray I
can recall them,
Both today and
tomorrow.
I remember many
loved ones,
Some have passed
on now;
We had such adventures,
As brides and moms
learning how.
And when my children
are old,
I hope I'll hear
them cheer;
Mom sure taught
us the value
Of memories of
yesteryear.
