COUNTY CLARE, IRELAND The complete map on the left is Ireland, a country situated on the west coast of Europe.
The area highlighted on the left is County Clare.
The population of Clare is........I don't really know!!!
The county seat is Ennis, which was recently selected by the national telecommunications company as Irelands Information Age Town.
I live on the west of this County approx. four Kilometers from the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, from where on a clear day you can see Boston, Massacheusets, five thousand miles away!!!

HERE ARE SOME OF THE PLACES WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN COUNTY CLARE.

One of the most spectacular sights to be seen in Clare is the Burren.
Here you will see hundreds of acres of Limestone. For more information, Check out this link.

This picture here is of a "Dolmen" which is a Stone Age buriel site consisting of three upright stones, supporting a flat stone which must weigh a few tons.
Something that I think rivals the Pyramids!!!
Here you can also find certain types of flora that can only be found in the high Alps!

This cave was found by a local man a number of years ago, while out walking his dog!!
This cave is situated in North Clare near the town of Ballyvaughan also in the Burren.

This is a very interesting Castle. There once lived here a Queen named Maura Rua. (Irish for Red Mary) Legend has it that she murdered a number of husbands by hanging them from a spike which can still be seen on the right side of the Castle, up about three storeys. LEMENAGH CASTLE.GIF
