Director Cheran dumps his earlier announced project "PARASEEHA ROJA" due to the sensitivity of the subject which is believed to be another love story between a Hindu and a Muslim. Along with the story he decided to dump his favorite heroine MEENA due to personal reasons.

Instead of "PARASEEHA ROJA" now he is working in the movie "DESIYA GEETHAM". For the second time he is going with MURALI as his hero after the success of "PORKAALAM".

Cheran has had great success with his previous two movies he directed and has been picked by "PESUM PADAM", the oldest Tamil cinema magazine as the best Director for the year 1997 for the movie "PORKAALAM".
