What's happenned in the world of KC Hardcore?
We are opening for Victory Recording artists: NO INNOCENT VICTIM! If you like old school, no-frills hard-core, these guys are it! Considering they're one of our biggest influences, we are very excited about this show. Also appearing will be The Deal (Streetpunk on Facedown Records), Tanka Ray and more tba. Come to this show, you won't be let down! (June 28th). We also have shows at the Springfield Sk8 Park and the KC Hardcore v. 2.2 at the El Torreon (with guests from Texas, Reaver (sorta like Converge). For more info, check out the shows page.
In other news, we've decided to stick with the four piece setup. We're really happy with the sound and tightness that it has given us (not to mention it's cheaper on travel expenses). We'd like to thank everyone who has shown interest in filling our second guitar spot, if we ever decided to pick up another guitarist, we will contact all of you.
Finally, we have a new webpage in the making and it will be hosted on blessedkilling.com. It should be up in the next 2 or 3 weeks. For now, go check out blessed killing and some of their other hosted sites/bands. Thanks to Pete Seybold of blessed killing for hosting the site, and Jay Di Nitto of Bleeding Days design for building it.
We've got a few shows we are working on getting together so keep an eye out for those.
We've put on some new pictures, including ones from hogfest 2000. I've also updated the bio page, so if your bored, go and re-read that.
Steadfast is happy to announce that we are on the new Wounded Records compilation, "Pushing Demons Aside", along with System Failure, Drag the Stick, PKD & 9 other hardcore bands! The track that will be on the comp. will be "Golgotha" off of our first CD, "When Words & Weapons Fail", which was recorded in November of '99. (thanks-to: Jeremiah Duncan, for the spot on this compilation)You can find out a bit more about this & other Wounded Records releases at the Wounded Records website. We now have new t-shirts with a new design on the back & sportin' a new logo. We will have them available through the website soon (the old shirts are gone) & will also have the images scanned so you can check 'em out before you buy them. Special thanks to our South African friend, Sean for the artwork on the new shirts! (killer job, man!)

We are in the process of printing up some new t-shirts (with a new design) and are going to play a show at the Springfield Indoor Skate Park. This is an excellent venue & unfortunately, we don't have anything this cool as far as skate parks go in KC. So, if you don't have any plans April 28th, take the 2-3 hour road trip to Springfield, MO. & come see the show. Don't forget your board if you skate! For more info, check out the shows page & click on the link! LATER! -Shane

Hey, got some new pics up. Got a cool shot of "Air Miller" with Chris from last summer at a Christian Bookstore up north (What's up, Dale?!), and a pic from our show up in Omaha with Embodyment as well a a few others from the local shows, so check 'em out if you like. Later!

After a few idle months, the webpage has finally been updated, everyone email us and let us know what you think of the new look. For those who haven't heard, Matt our bass player has left the band to persue other options, which is the reason for only 4 people on the new mainpage. For now Aaron is going to switch to bass and we will return to our original one guitar form. We may be looking for a bass player or maybe a guitar player in the near future to fill this gap, so if you feel that it may be God's will to play with STEADFAST, we urge you to pray about it and contact us.

Sorry we've been a bit absent-minded about updating our website in the last few months, but we've been playing a lot of shows & working on getting our next recording project going. We've also got several new songs written & have played most of them live during the last 3-4 shows. Hopefully, we can get them on CD soon & those of you who do not live in or around KC can check it out. Keep us and all of the Christian Music scene in your prayers, strengthening one another with the love of Christ. HE's what it's all about after all.

Steadfast is planning on recording a new CD tenatively for release hopefully by late winter/early spring. It will include the old songs off the e.p. re-recorded (some with re-written or new parts) and quite a few new ones. This time around we should have more time/money to spend on it & Lord willing it should be a much higher caliber performance. We'll keep ya posted!
April 22, 2000
We have good news, we have added a second guitar player. Chris started playing with us about a month or so ago, and it's already improved our sound 100%. He should be ready to play with us at the May 20 Hogfest show (May 20th)and we're all really looking forward to it. More good news, we've finally added some new pictures so go to the Pics page and check those out. Thanks to everyone whose been coming out to the shows and supporting us, as well as supporting us through prayer. The RFL benefit on April 15 was a huge success, thank you to all those who were there. We hope to see you all at the upcoming shows.

Okay, just a quick little
announcement... May 20 we'll be opening for LIVING
SACRIFICE!!! It's going to be in Buckner, Mo
(H.O.G Fest 2; bring your Harley's!) and we'll have
more info coming. Check back every now & then to
our "shows" page & eventually you will see all the
gory details on this upcoming show! Aside from a
show we're going to do out in Iola, KS. later this
month, we're going to take the rest of March off as
far as shows are concerned & take the time to write
some new music & if He sees fit, maybe the Lord
will send a second guitarist our way. Keep the
faith alive & don't lose your focus on Jesus
Christ!
February 25th, 2000
We've added a merchandise page. We have shirts,
cd's, and stickers allavailable for mailorder.
February 15th, 2000
Well we're halfway through the month of February &
it has been an exciting month. We have released our
first CD as a band & it has gotten a very good
response. We have also played several shows this
month all of which were great in their own unique
way. We would like to shout out to AntEye Luci,
Manifest to Destroy, Boy Hero, .Rod Laver, & all the
other bands we played with this month & say thanks
to all the venues who let us play there. We're
probably gonna take the month of March to work on
some new songs, & hopefully (Lord willing) get a 2nd
guitarist to "beef-up" our sound. Pray for this as
we would like to see this come to be. That's about
it for now. We still have a couple of shows left
this month, so go to the "shows" link & check it out
for details! (By the way, we'll have new T-shirts by
the 18th too & half of 'em are burgundy now, so it's
not just the black ones, although we still are
selling those as well!)

STEADFAST recorded our first 7-song DEMO in about
16 hours. Considering the low budget/limited
time we were working with, we think it turned out
pretty good. We decided to put a little more money
into it and went into a home-studio rather than the
live recording. John Gibson of Dirge/Aeturnus
produced and recorded it for us and we're all real
happy with how it turned out. It will be available
fairly soon on CD and will be called "When Words &
Weapons Fail." We'll keep you posted on the release
date. To hear some clips from the album go here

I finally got all of our current lyrics put up so
make sure to check those out. Also, I have just
created and account with listbot, so make sure to
go to the main page and sign up on our email list
and get info about site updates and upcoming shows.

We are planning on recording a seven song ep over
Thanksgiving weekend. We're just doing a live
recording, but we hope the sound will turn out
decent. All of the cover art will be homemade,
strictly a DIY album, but this should help us keep
the cost around $5. As soon as it is finished
we'll put up some information about mailorder, for
all of our fans from across the country, yeah.
October 28, 1999
We've finally go some picture up, so everyone go
look at our ugly mugs Here.
October 26, 1999
We've been accepted to the spirit filled
underground webring, so those links all work now.
We're still in the process of becoming part of the
Hardcore Webring, so it will be another few weeks
before all of that works. Oh yeah, if you haven't
noticed, we've added a guestbook, so sign away.

Well, we played our second show tonight. We found
out less than 24 hours in advance so we didn't get
much chance to get the word out. The show was in a
bar in Warrensburg and we feel that God really used
us to plant a seed in the lives of several people.

We played our first show tonight opening for POD.
We had a great time and felt that we had a pretty
good response from the crowd. Thanks to everyone
who DANCED!!!!
