Believed to be the oldest structure in Jefferson City, this 3 story building was built in the late 1830s. During the 1850's - 1870's, it was used as a combination store, inn, and warehouse. Today the building houses exibits on transportation of the 19th century and a audio visual room.

Named after a declaration of wartime setiments, the Union Hotel was also named Crumps Hotel when it was first opened in the 1840s. Today the hotel houses exibits with the Amtrak Station on the first floor.
Completed in 1918, the capital covers three acres along the south banks of the Missouri River. Today the state capital is open for tours and houses many historical and art exibits of the state of Missouri.
Capital tours are given Monday thru Sunday every hour on the hour for walk in guests. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more. From June thru February, scheduled group tours are every half hour witht the last tour beginning at 4pm. From March thru May, scheduled group tours begin at the top of the hour, 20 minutes past the hour, and 40 minutes past the hour. Tours may be made by calling (573) 751-2854.
Public Tours are conducted each Tuesday and Thursday from 10 to noon, and 1 to 3 p.m., except in August and December. Free Admission. Reservations required 24 hours in advance.
