 Dataflow
is software designed for the use by distributors of the Ecoflow
ltd chain of products. The Product works with live data from the
internet, giving the users up to date details of sales by people
they have sponsored.
This software was commissioned by Tirino Solutions Ltd, who hired
me to design and write the product.
The project was in three parts. First was a data manipulation program
to convert and sort data from an SQL database. The second part was
several small cgi programs to allow the disytributors to access
the data from the internet. Cgi was also used to allow the administrators
administer the data on the web server, via a web browser. The final
phase was a windows based client program that would retrive the
data from the cgi and then display it to the user in a friendly
manner. The data was displayed in three was, as a tree, as a list
and a details view. Filters and search procedures were implemented
in the program, as well as a reporting feature and data export.
The take up of the software was very good, quickly replacing the
software that was previously in place.
