Pianos
This was the instrument my mother decided I would learn to play. At first I was curious, lessons with my sister were hard, practice was painful (I never knew time could pass so slowly) and although I wanted to play, I couldn't figure out how to get past the diffuclty of sight reading. Now, after four 'starts' at learing how to play, I can confidently state that I'm beginning to "get it", and I do enjoy the work and personal satisfaction of the results.
Organs
My second attempt to play a keyboard was an electronic organ for a position as organist at my small local RC Church. I started with one hand, then the other and finally the foot for the pedals. I became adequate at best, but never played a real pipe organ.
