Vin Diesel as Richard Riddick
Vin Diesel,
born on July 18, 1967, reunites with his Saving Private Ryan co-star Giovanni Ribisi for Boiler Room. Steven Spielberg created a role for Diesel in his film after seeing Multi-Facial, a short film Diesel wrote, starred in, directed, produced and financed himself. Multi-Facial also was selected to be screened at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival.
Diesel also wrote, starred in, directed and produced a feature film: Strays. Most recently, Diesel was the voice of the title character in the critically admired animated family film The Iron Giant and starred in the sci-fi film Pitch Black. He will next be seen in Knockaround Guys with John Malkovich, Dennis Hopper and Seth Green. Diesel is also currently preparing several projects as a writer/director.
