Temple of Sekhmet

Who is Lady Sekhmet? She is the Lady of Many names, including "Lady of the Place of the Beginning of Time", and "The One Who Was before the Gods were". She is a Universal Goddess who existed before time, before Earth, and before many of the various dieties.

Sekhmet is a Universal Goddess, containing all aspects of All That is: light and dark, birth and death, healing and destruction. She teaches us the power of fully integrating all aspects of self, to stand as ONE Being, Whole, complete, and Balanced.

The most popular view of Sekhmet is that of Ra ordering her to enact vengence upon mankind. Sekhmet begins burning the Earth with her fire, until she is fooled into drinking a field of beer, and is overcome with sublime ecstasy. Thoth then submerges her into a river, the symbol of the flowing waters/kundalini energy being the transformative force that changes Sekhmet's fury into the compassionate Great Mother Bastet, a form of Hathor/Isis.

Her energy is definately not to be trifled with, for you are dealing with the raw power of Creation and Destruction in One. Sekhmet will take your issues, your imbalances, your deepest pain and bring it right out into the daylight of you life to release and heal. And if you resist this transformation? You can be sure of a swift kick you-know-where that will surely wake you up in a more dramatic fashion!

When you are working with Sekhmet, you WILL transform your issues, one way or another, so hang on and be prepared for change!

But the true power of the Goddess is the power to heal, to create, to love. Only as we are balanced and centered in our hearts is this possible, this is how Sekhmet can assist us. Like her, we too carry tremendous power, and she can teach us how to use our power as Creators to transform ourselves, our planet and our hearts through Unconditional Love.
