Yes, I Truly Love You
© 1999 by Dorothy Marie Manley

Do I truly love you,
You ask me just today.
I put it into words,
And it came out this way.

To me you're an angel,
Sent from up above.
I'll never leave you lonely.
You'll always have my love.

I will dry your teardrops,
Whenever they may fall.
I'll be there by your side,
If you should ever call.

I will be your lighthouse,
That guides you through the storm.
When the cold wind blows,
I'll be there to keep you warm.

When the rain has stopped,
I don't have to see the sky.
I can find my rainbow,
When I look into your eyes.

I'd give you the world,
If it were mine to give.
I would even give my life,
So that you might live.

Yes, I truly love you,
But should you ever doubt my love is true.
Just close your eyes, and remember,
These words I've said to you.

I Want You To Know
© 1999 by Dorothy Marie Manley

Once there was a time,
When you seldom crossed my mind.
But now it seems, I think about you,
Almost all the time.

We both belong to someone else,
There's nothing we can do.
But it doesn't change the fact,
That I'm in love with you.

I wish we could be together,
But it seems we're destined to be apart,
Even so, I want you to know,
It is you who owns my heart.

I will be here for you,
If you ever have a need.
Just the way I know,
You are there for me.

I am very glad to share
This special love with you.
Although my happy ever after dream,
Never will come true.

The Stranger
© 1999 by Dorothy Marie Manley

His dark eyes warmed her body,
Like the rays of the midsummer sun.
To give her love to a stranger,
Was something she had never done.

He slipped his arm around her waist,
And her body trembled with desire.
She knew the flame he'd started,
Would soon become a raging fire.

He made her no promises,
Only his love for the night.
She willingly agreed.
Her feelings were too strong to fight.

She pressed her body close to him,
As his warm lips gently kissed her face.
She was swept away by passion,
In the stranger's warm embrace.

Morning came and he was gone,
But she felt no regret.
The night of passion with the stranger,
Was a night she would never forget.
