Israel, the Galilee, and Kammana

Kammana is located in the Northern area of Israel known as the Galilee or Al Galil.

The Galilee is separted into two regions - Upper and Lower.  Kammana is located on the edge of the Lower Galilee's border with the North. It sits atop Kammana mountain, so one can see both regions from the village.

To the north of Kammana lie the villages of "Al Shagur," these include: Rama, Sajur, Na'hef, Baana, Der Al Asad, and Majad Al Krum. To the South lie the villages of "Al Butuuf", including: Der Hana', Araba', and Sakhnin

Kammana was considered among the largest unrecognized Arab villages in Israel. Perched atop Kammana mountain, it sits above the city of Karmiel. The village is divided into six neighborhoods: Shahada, Kammana East, Jalassa, and the neighborhoods of West Kammana - Kleb, Masalha, and Gbess. The total population of the village is around 250 familes or 1,300 people.
