I love songs they let you express your feelings and allow you to be creative, so I felt I just had to put some Pagan songs on here. I don't know where some came from, let me know and I'd be happy to give you credit! (Though some I wrote myself)
Winter Vision
Ona cold, cold morning in the middle of winter, I was suddenly given a vision of beauty. She was taller then many, standing straight as a fir tree, and she walked right up to me and smiled a secret smile.
And Her hair fell down past Her shoulders. And the garment She wore was green as spring, and I knew in my heart she was the Goddess, and I had no fear of anything.
And she said, "The world is sleeping and my children are waiting for Me to return with the Breath of Life I bring, tell my children to celebrate! Light the candles! Start dancing! So that I will return and bring with me the Spring."
And Her gold hair fell past Her shoulders as she slowly turned and faded from my sight. Now I am a child of the Goddess. A child of the moon and of the light, A child of the moon...and of the light.
Discoveries
Walking down life's road one day I spied a path along the way, small as it was and hard to see, but I knew it was just for me. I stepped onto that wondrous way, what drew me here I cannot say, but there along that path I trod, akin to Goddess, akin to the God.
Of course I did not know that then, I merely felt the power within, sister to forests, plants and trees, a part of Nature's majesties!
For many years I trod alone, thinking all this was my own. For others did not seem to see what was so obvious to me. Imagine then, my sheer surprise, when right before my eyes it was my fortune to discover another traveler, my own true lover.
But still more wonders were in store, for on our path we found yet more, and now that path's no longer bare, we know that others travel there.
Some to learn and some to teach, some the heights of wisdom reach. Together we gather in trust and joy, all our resources to employ. To share the way we think and feel to help each other grow and heal, How wondrous all this is to me, to have found my Spiritual Family!
Lord of the Dance
She danced on the water and the wind was her horn. The Lady danced and everyone was born, and when she lit the sun the light gave him birth. The Lord of the dance was the kind of the Earth.
CHORUS:Dance, dance wherever you may be, for I am the Lord of the Dance said he. I'll live in you if you live in me, and I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.
I dance in the circle and the flames leap on high. I dance in the fire and I never, never die. I dance on the waves of the bright summer sea. For I am the Lord of the waves mystery.
CHORUS
I dance in the circle and I dance in the rain. I dance in the wind and through the waving grain. When you cut me down I care nothing for the pain. In the spring, I'm the Lord of the dance once again!
CHORUS
Dance at the Sabbat when you dance at the spell. Dance and sing and everyone be well. When the dancing's over do not think I am gone, to live is to dance, so I dance on and on.
CHORUS
The Lord and the Lady cast a song accross the plains, the birds sang the notes and gave them back again. The sound of Her music was the sound of the sky and to that song there is one reply.
CHORUS
The moon in its phases and the tides of the sun, the movements of the Earth and the seasons that will be are the rhythm of the dancing and the promise throught the years. The dance goes on through the joy and the tears.
CHORUS
They danced in the darkness and they danced in the light. They danced on the Earth and everything was light. They danced in the darkness and they danced in the dawn, and the day of the dancing still goes on.
CHORUS
I gaze on the heavens and I gaze on the Earth and I felt the pain of dying and rebirth, and I lift my head in gladness and in the praise of the daym, for the dance of the Lord and the Lady is blessed.
CHORUS
I see the maidens laughing as they dance in the sun, and we count the fruits of the harvest one by one. We know the storm is coming but the Grain is all stored. We sing to the praise of the Lady and the Lord.
CHORUS
We dance ever slower as the leaves fall and spin, and the sound of Her horn is the wailing of the wind. The call of the Hunter as He rides accross the plain, while the Lady sleeps till the spring comes again.
CHORUS
The sun is in the Southlands and the winds they will chill, and the sounds of the Horn is fading on the hill. The herd stands in the stillness as we move in a trace, but we hold on fast to our faith in the dance.
CHORUS
The sun's in the Southlands and the days lengthen fast, but we soon will sing for the winter that is past, but now light the candles and rejoice as they burn. We dance the dance of the Sun's return.
CHORUS
All I have to Give
All I have to give. And its all in my heart I will live. For all I've ever dreamed of and all I have lieved. Its now true, I have found my place beside the God and the Goddess and all I really want is to feel their love within. All I ask, is what I truly wish, and all I want never ending is their love.
I have found a place to rest my heart, my whole has fallen easily into the framework of this life. I look forward to meeting in the Summerlands, a child of the moon and the light. There I will rest until time has once claimed again my soul, and hopefully I'll dream of all I loved before, and I'll wecome in that love again. Into my heart, into my lands
And I wish to tell those who doubt me, I will always be all of me, and my heart will grow because I am, in all, myself. All I have to give, is all that I will live. All I have to give, is for my heart and soul.
Cup of Wonder
May I make my fond excuses for the lateness of the hour, but we accept your invitation, and we bring you Beltane's flower. For the May Day is the great day, sung along the old straight track. And those who ancient lines did lay will lived the song that calls them back. Pass the word and pass the Lady, pass the plate to all who hungar. Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder.
Ask the green man where he comes from, ask the cup that fills with red. Ask the old grey standing stones that show the sun it's way to bed. Question all as in their ways, and learn the secrets that they hold. Walk the line's of nature's palm crossed with silves and with gold. Pass the cup and pass the Lady, pass the plate to those who hungar. Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder.
Join in black December's sadness, lie in August's welcome corn. Stir the cup that's ever-filling with the blood of all that's born. But the May Day is the Great Day, sung along the straightest track. And those who ancient lines did lay will heed the song that calls them back. Pass the word and pass the Lady, pass the plate to all who hungar. Pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the cup of crimson wonder.
The Song of the Giants
CHORUS:I saved this song for a giant. And he sang it along with me. And we shared this special moment. And we learned this is all there had to be.
For we spoke of different languages. And we carried different traits. But still we sang the very same song, me and the giant are one.
CHORUS
This song cried out across the seas and others heard what they couldn't believe. They said it was wrong, for singin this song, but me and the giant, we are one.
CHORUS
Yes, me and the giant, me and the giant, we sang this song for all we knew, for me and the giant, we are one.
Salvation Written by myself
It's my salvation
It's set me free
I'm set to do
Anything
It's been my tightrope
I'm walking a straight line
And now I'm home again
For the meantime
My salvation
It's set me free
I'm ready to accomplish
Anything, just about
And, we've come,
so very far
Through the darkness
And into the stars
The moon's rays,
Shining upon me
She tells me now,
I've come so far.
My salvation
It's set me free
I'm ready to do
Most anything
I'll climb a mountain
to reach the peak
To feel my salvation
Setting me free
Untitled Written by myself
You and I, alone again, this world I know, a bitter land. Where trees don't grow and forests die, a land where only, I seem to cry.
I do not, know which way to turn, I'm so confused. Help me learn! I wish to fly, to touch the stars, and suddenly, there you are.
Lady please, take me with you, I turn unto your service real, forever feeling, the way I do.
Oh Lord please, I feel a fear, as though I know, not what I say. I know you're near, but I'm alone, please help me follow this path I've found.
Oh Mother please! I need guidance, physical beauty, and reconciliation. I need to feel, something real, help me Mother, to feel.
I fell a long ways, down to the ground, the weeping willows, lift their boughs. And suddenly, I start to feel, that all this, is somehow real.
