"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" stars Grammy Award-winning singer and actor Will Smith as a kid from a tough West Philadelphia neighborhood sent to live with his wealthy relatives in Bel-Air, Calif., where he must adjust to a different lifestyle and family.

In the series, Will (Smith) charms, disarms and alarms members of his adoptive uppercrust family with his streetwise ways. Will's Uncle Philip, a successful judge, works to cope with his nephew's shenanigans while Aunt Vivian tries to mediate between the two.

Among his cousins, Will finds rivals in preppy Carlton and spoiled would-be brat packer Hilary -- and an ally and confidante in teenager Ashley, who lost claim as youngest of the brood with the birth of Nicholas "Nicky" Banks. Will faces other lifestyle adjustments as he and Carlton embark on their sophomore year of college at the fictional University of Los Angeles.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" is from The Stuffed Dog Company and Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment in association with NBC Productions. Gary H. Miller ("A Different World") and multi-Grammy Award winner Quincy Jones ("Thriller") are the executive producers.
